Are the Z06 and the Z51 sway bar sets identical or are the Z06 bars designed stiffer and with separate part numbers? If different, are the Z06 bars available? Are any stats on stiffness comparisons available?

There is a very involved thread regarding installation and any other tidbits here in the C7 tech section.

If you follow the instructions it isn't very hard.
But, what is lost in translation is that you will need a few special (?) tools:
18 mm 12 pt box end wrench
8 mm 6 pt box end wrench
18 mm 6 pt crow foot socket
8 mm 6 pt socket
13 mm 6 pt socket
15 mm 6 pt socket
3/8" drive ratchet
3/8" drive Torque wrench
1.5" & 6" 3/8" drive extensions
1.5" 1/4" drive extension
1/4" drive breaker bar or ratchet
You can remove and install the bar in the front with the wheels on and a 4-5" high ramp; in the back you may not need ramps at all - I use a set that are 1.5" (2x10 board) high.
You will need to jack the car and remove the wheels to properly torque the linkage nuts that attach to the bars.

I don't even have my Stingray yet, so I don't know if I'll decide to do this or not, but it's good to know it's relatively inexpensive and easy if I do. And if I ask nicely, and buy enough beer, I may be able to make use of a friend of a friend's lift. That would make life easier.
Thanks again.

When I say box end - it can be either a combination wrench (box on one end and open on other of the same size) or a box end (boxes on both end, usually of different sizes0 wrench. It would be odd to have all the other tools and not own a set of wrenches?

I own sets of box, combination and ratching box end wrenches. I just don't think I have an 18 or 8mm in either set. I think my smallest box end is 7 - 9mm, and my smallest combination is 10mm. On the other end, I know I hae 17 and 19mm, but I don't think I have an 18mm. I could be wrong. They're not sizes I commonly need on any of my other cars or bikes.
