How to play CD's in a 2015 C7?
Have Read manual, but is there any way to play our great old CD's in the 2015 Stingray? Appreciate the help from a guy here who still remembers the fun of adding an 8 Track player to that first old car in College(a 1965 Buick Wildcat Convertible, drove it for almost 200K and 20 yrs!) . This Forum and it's memebrs are Great. Thank you for the technology assistance!

There's no CD slot and thus no way to play CDs. One alternative is to rip your CD collection to a flash drive. You can then just keep the flash drive in the Corvette's USB port and control everything from the center screen. That's what I do and it works great; this allows you to keep your entire CD collection in your car at all times without the need for having to physically deal with the actual discs.

Hey , some people have a huge collection of CD's. Maybe it would be easier to go to Fry's and buy a player and do an install. Not everyone is tech savvy.
I won't use a cell phone as it interrupts daily life, I just tell people where I am going to be. If necessary they can call the golf course or where ever and leave a message. I like to have my freedom. Or have On Star track me down. And I would like to listen to my CD's in the C7 also.

Top level = genre (pop/rock, jazz, classical, etc.)
2nd level = artist
3rd level = CD name
To view a folder I just tap "Browse", then "More", then "Folder View". Pick a genre, then pick an artist, then pick a CD. It works perfectly.

I had to have a CD player in a recently purchased vehicle, but I have yet to use it, and probably won't w/ 3'000 songs on an SD card... Bluetooth on the iPhone and iPod... it really makes the CD player antiquated, but I hear ya...

Hecko Pete, just do what I did. Keep the Sirius subscription and don't fool with any of the latest greatest until the next hot item arrives on the scene! I did transfer some tunes to a USB flash drive that are not readily available and listen to them occasionally, but for the most part I am lost in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. The advantage to that is I don't search for anything while I am driving and sometimes I am surprised by some old tune that never made it into the top 20 and I go down oh, I remember that memory lane. And, sometimes I just prefer to listen to the LT1 engine with the exhaust in track mode!

What do you mean by this? I have my music on a flash drive and can choose whatever folder I want at any time. Am I missing something here? My folder set-up is as follows:
Top level = genre (pop/rock, jazz, classical, etc.)
2nd level = artist
3rd level = CD name

I'm 73 and the new technology is great. I've got 137 albums on an 8GB flash drive (thumbnail size)... still got 2.3 GB space left.
As someone mentioned earlier - rip your CDs off - (onto your computer) - get a flash drive, sync all your albums and cuts onto the thumb drive, and enjoy your music. Much better than dickin' with all those loose CDs.... and safer.

I think people have this perception that technology makes things more complicated. In some cases, yes. In the case of mobile music, thats just completely wrong. I use SD and flash sticks or just plug my phone into the aux port. The hardest part of it, is remembering to bring them back into the house( to sync my new music to them).
The only thing i would add is that you should select the MP3 format instead of windows media player since you would be playing this in the car.
Flash drives are cheap, find a sales guy and ask him for electronic brochures, he will then hand you a flash drive, bring it home, wipe it and stick your music on it. Or you can just go to best buy and buy a 16GB or larger flash drive. They sell them in sets of three as well.

I know that everyone has their favorite collections, but another widely used option is connecting a smartphone with an internet radio app via bluetooth and listening to that. With the current internet radio apps out there offering some pretty awesome tailoring it could be just what the doctor ordered.

My teen years were in the 60's and I still love the music of those years. I copied over 50 albums onto a 4 GB SD card and I use the speaker feature to tell Siri to play any song I want to hear. Ain't technology great!!
