Torch Red body color rear with pics
I had the lower rear diffuser painted torch red and I am loving it.
I am in south florida and got it done by 'B & R Auto Body Works' at Pompano Beach and they did an excellent job. Pat, who is into cars is the guy you want to talk to there.
I had them remove the lower rear end and paint it. Here is a link for instructions to remove the lower rear end. Look at post #5 in that thread.

Surprisingly, I really like it... Very unique. Almost Ferrari-like... in a good way

While I still think I prefer the lower portion of the rear fascia in black, painting it red does look good on your car. Looks like the shop did a great job matching the paint. It certainly gives the car a different look - in a good way.

Very nice. Wish GM offered this as a factory option. Well done.

Congrats Carden....I considered this mod about a year ago. I decided not to do it. For me, it was an acquired taste.
Enjoy!

I paid $350.00 + tax. This included removing the lower end before painting. Dropped the car off at the shop in the morning and picked it up next day evening. The quality of work excellent and the price I believe was very fair.

The more I see of this, the more I like it. I personally prefer this look on the brighter Color cars. My SGM looks good stock (as do the black and NRB colors). Given a choice when ordering all other colors, I'd opt for the body color rear.

Funny how when GM painted the rear bumper the body color, everyone wanted to black them out, and now when GM blacks out the lower panel, people want to paint it back the body color...
I never went to the trouble to paint my C5 bumper, but I do like the black trim on the C7.
