9's is the new 10's....who's going in N/A, and with what combo ?
A number of recent N/A C6 Z06 MN6 owners are peppering that 10.0 ET, flirting with the 9's now. And, with all the recent talk about the C6 Z06 Fast List, it's clear to me that the top 10 N/A positions will be populated with 9.99 or better ET's within the next 6 months.
My car is in the shop at the moment for repairs, but I'm hoping for a positive diagnosis and a few upgrades to my setup which might give me a fighting chance to see that magical number IF I can get some awesome air here in Phoenix (and a roll bar ).
My interpetation of N/A is anything but nitrous and F/I..... aftermarket heads, increased displacement, meth and race fuel are on the table. Put an auto in it if you want, but I'm interested in seeing the manual cars populate that list
I'll be moving up to a more aggressive camshaft, thinking K501, with a slight additional bump in compression, an E85 capable fuel pump, and a Tony Mamo ported MSD intake. I think a new Braille (or comparable) lightweight battery, and maybe the Burns stainless steel exhaust, could offset the weight of a 5 point bar. I went 10.4/10.5's with the Torquer 110, 91 pump gas, and full street trim with drag radials at 1500-1900' DA.
Give me my new combo, with some E85, drag pack, and drag race trim, and I'll take a crack at that list.
If you're interested in that 9 second club as well, what combo are you going to run to achieve that goal ?
List em up, and don't be shy

Best of luck. I saw your poor car at the shop. It didn't look happy.

There's a lot of cars to help push each other and keep things interesting. Prop's to anyone with a 6speed n/a car running mid 10's or better. Hope to see a few break into the 9's. There seems to be a good resurgence.

Try the Shorai lithium-ion for a light weight battery option. I have been using it for a couple of months now just for street use and it is light (5 lbs) and cranks the car easily.

Like I said in another thread, It's a good time for H/C C6Z's.

Yep....hopefully something that can be easily fixed, Nick. Looks like I'm going to miss the Street Car Takeover and the No Fly Zone events next month. Bummer

Me too I might make street car depending on when parts show up, but no way to make NFZ. We can go and watch and cry together.

Yep, 10.40 but the slip was incomplete, missing the MPH at the traps and 1000' MPH and interval. 660' was 6.7@105.7 MPH IIRC.
I never have given thought to 4.10's....I don't think I really need them to get down to the 10.0's

Alright I'll play.... I'm gunning for the top!
Vette air/Wcch stage 2 heads
Hell widow cam
Halltech 107r
ARH headers and x
Drag pack with Hoosiers
Ported fast
Ran a 10.4@136+ recently with a bad 60ft and the weather is only getting better. I'll be back out in the following weeks! I think it has a 10.00 or so in it. Being honest.... Might remove the sway bar, cat back, and pass seat and a little race gas.

If you guys want extra incentive, someone make a list of 10 contenders or more and we'll come up with odds.
Then Bruce can come chime in with a small description of each car and driver.

I went 6.62 at 109 in the 1/8th in July with a 2900 DA on radials and a 1.43 60'. Since then I've added a small shot and the weather keeps getting nicer.
My brother sent a personal best in his 2010 Camaro last night I with a 1600 DA. If I can catch a nice 1100-1300 night I will go out on kill, but have to drive 90-140 miles to find a quarter mile track.

You can see all my details on my Instagram @ls7bud... If I would stop raining every weekend I could go out and get my 9.XX... Can't wait to see how my 3.90's with a 26.5" stiff wall slick work together in some decent weather... My best so far is a 10.09 at 139mph at 1500DA with a 25.6" Hoosier and factory 3.42 rear gear...

I agree you don't need 4.10s, I'm sure you'll hit your 9s with the new combo. It's going to take me a bit longer to get into the low 10s since I have to stick to a DR now. Just ordered the RTS but no more 26x11.5x17 bias ply out there anymore.
Hope you and Nick get your cars running soon. The nice weather is coming and so will the fast passes.
