Corvette SOLD Thread
With all the discussion about the Corvettes for sale...what the owners are asking, what Kelly bluebook says, what's with the high prices, why are they asking so much money, what is reality?
Let's start a sold thread!
I don't remember seeing this done before.
So if you sold your Corvette give the details... Asking price, sold price, trim levels, upgrades, Time it took to sell , include 1 photo, etc. etc...
I truly believe this would help buyers and sellers alike.

Excellent idea for a thread! This will help both sides, i.e., prospective buyers and sellers. Agree that honesty will be the key to whether this is a helpful thread. Gentle inquiry...is this thread intended for both private sales and dealer trade in cars?

This will only work for recent sales (past 6 months) to keep it in perspective of todays selling and buying prices, but it could be interesting.

Ok, I'll start as a buyer. 2005 auto top package w/o z51. Bone stock car that was traded in at local Chevy dealership on a c7. Outside 10/10 inside 10/10, 75,000 miles, car looks like 7500 miles, asking price of 22,400. Bank told me it was worth 21,900 and I paid 20,400. Car was traded in on a Thursday night and I bought Saturday. While doing paperwork, 2 other people inquired about it. Not a super deal but a super clean, stock car.

I traded my 2013 for a 2012 to a dealer does that count? If so, then the dealer gave me $39,000 for my trade in and i had to give him $10,000 in return for a 012 GS 3lt Centennial Edition back in 03/15 mind you, my 013 had around 6500 on the clock and the CE only had 433 miles on the clock. Going from a base to a GS i feel I made a wise choice.

Sold to a fellow Forum member so I'll let HIM decide if he wants transaction price posted. Very high miles; very low price!
Anyway, in December I bought an '08 Z51, 3LT M6 with 27K on it and a 90 day power train warranty for $26,750. Needed about $1K various little things so realistically $27,750 or so...

I was the buyer,
I got what I think is a great deal back in December..Seller originally posted car for $22,500 ,( 2005 - Z51 "6 speed" 3LT Silver in great shape 78,000 miles) a month later he lowered price to $21,500...He finally lowered price to $19,500 after 9 weeks for sale...I called and said I would come look at the car if he would take $17,000 for it , he agreed to $17,000 and within 2 days the car was mine..He also said that not one person looked at the car in the 9 weeks he had it for sale, I was the first person to show up......There isn't one chip or scratch on the car, and it runs like new, plus 6 months earlier he put a Corsa exhaust system on the car at a cost of $1,800.The car also has $5,000 worth of Wilwood brakes and rotors ...Bank said the book value on the car was $22,500..WW.

I sold my 98 Coupe (mostly stock) to a forum member in 2011, had 160k miles. Sold for 10k.
Bought a 2002 Z06 (modified) from a forum member days after that for 20k. Sold it a year later for 21k after some appearance mods.
Bought a 2007 Z06 (modified) in October 2015 from a forum member. 65k miles on the body, ~5k on the build. Price 35k.

On April 3, 2015 I bought a 2009 1LT A6 coupe with 25,952 miles on the clock for $28,500 from a local Chevy dealer. They were asking $30,500 for the car. It's Victory Red and is bone stock. Runs great and is blast to drive. My only regret is that it doesn't have Bluetooth for my cell phone.
