Default Dyno Results LS3, A6, V3si

Finished up my blower install a few weeks ago, and just got it dyno tuned last weekend.

The car is basically a stock 09 a6 other than the following mods:
-corsa extreme exhaust, 2.5"
-obx 1 7/8" catless headers
-alky control single nozzle setup with 50/50 mix (I know, should've used straight meth, especially with our 91 octane gas)
-A&A kit with a v3si head unit, 3.8" pulley
-tial 50 bov
-ati stock diameter balancer
-NicD tune

Ended up making 525 whp / 485 wtq sae. Not record breaking by any stretch, but it is a blast to drive. Certainly more than the stock run flats can handle in the lower gears! Very glad I went with this setup.

Not sure, I don't have a boost gauge and the car was MAF tuned as I still have the stock NA MAP sensor, so we didn't get a boost reading while tuning.

Just realized I didn't have the pulley size listed, it's a 3.8".

Congrats. 525 WHP is a lot for regular C6 tires. If you can afford to get the widebody and Z06 tires in rear you will be blown away how much better the traction is. If not atleast get some really good tires. PSS hook very well.

Rear widebody would be really nice, maybe down the road a bit when I get the itch to start modding it again.

The hard part is that the current tires have a ton of tread left, so either I take them off and try to make a little money back on them, or I'll just have to wait until they wear out (with how much they spin, it shouldn't take too long at all )

There you go Was hoping to do the same thing on my current Invo Tires but they just dont spin much. At this rate they will go a few years.... Cant wait to get PSS on this car. PS2 to PSS dropped my stock CTS from 4.7 seconds 0-60 to 3.9. My modded E55 went from 4.7-4.8s to 3.6-3.7s switching from Hankook Evo 12 to PSS. Stock wheel size the tires make such a difference with high HP cars.

It's a dynojet. I don't have an electronic copy of the chart, so I just took a picture of the paper copy.

I don't know anything but seems extremely conservative considering you have an OD pulley and METH. None the less im sure its a blast!

I should probably clarify, I meant that the outside diameter of the new crank pulley is stock size. I didn't mean to imply it was an overdrive balancer.

I did think it seemed a little low compared to what I've seen other post on here for the mods. The belt did seem to loosen up a bit from when I had installed it (it was a new belt, perhaps they stretch a bit after some use?), but it sounded like he was having to back the timing down a bit because the octane was limiting it. That's part of the reason I wish I would've put in straight meth.

Wouldnt get too caught up in the dyno. Every Dyno is different. some read high some read low. How it runs at the track tells the true story. If you have a good tuner I'm sure you are where you should be.

Be careful !!

Good point. I'm definitely not worried about it. My main purpose in doing this was to get back that exciting rush that I used to feel flooring it back when I first got the car. The headers helped a bit, but it didn't last long before I got numb to that feeling too. This has been a big enough power jump that I'm sure it'll take awhile before I get used to it.

I don't really see myself taking it to the track to test it out. The current tires would yield bad ETs, and I'm not really interested in getting track only tires at this point. Maybe once I replace these tires with some better street tires, I'll give it a shot.

I would put money on you starting new thread in under 6 months "how much more boost can run?" LOL... You can get used to it so quickly. My E55 was over 600 ft lbs TQ after modding it and I wanted more power less than a month later

I could see that for sure. I think the short term mod path is pretty well laid out. Tires are definitely the next mod as I think being able to get on it at lower speeds will help make it feel faster. Beyond that, a switch to straight meth (combined with turning the flow up a bit) with a pulley size drop and tuning tweak should give a noticeable boost as well.

After that, i think the desire for more power will be balanced out with the fear of blowing the transmission up!

Did you read that other thread with that guy dyno around 850 WHP just ran a mid 9 second run at 150 MPH with stock trans and stock bottom end ? I guess tune and keeping things cool is all these cars need. I was simply stunned to see his results at those power levels. Point being I think these stock trans can handle 700 WHP daily if tuned and driven right.

congrats enjoy the fun! Numbers are a bit low for a dyno jet plus methanol.

Mustang dyno I had 574/532 before I added methanol on 9-10psi using an ECS1500.

If it helps, I'm at 640/588 currently and have been that way for a year. I've yet to have a want to add any more power a year later. Maybe that's because I've realized any more power I won't be able to reliably put to the ground on a street car.
