A bit more info will help Sandy. 1LT, 2LT, or 3LT?

It's a LT2. My first Corvette at age 70. A fantastic experience.

That's a great first Corvette sir. It mostly has what is called pleather, a synthetic type. It is actually tough, and easy to clean. Congratulations, and enjoy. Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully someone will chime in with most info than I can give on the leather.

There is Nappa leather, which is a plastic-coated leather, and Mulan leather, which is also made from leather but a "spam" sort of mixture with collagen fibers.

Your Window sticker should tell you if your car came with Nappa leather or not. The "suede", if equipped, isn't leather, but microfiber.

Napa, not Nappa. 2LT, not LT2. And, since it was purchased used the window sticker probably isn't in it.

Congrats on a great first Vette Sandy!

In a 2lt the seat surface is leather, variety is Mulan and it is treated to resist stain, spills and excessive wear. Mild soap, saddle soap or a damp micro cloth will clean it nicely. Rest of the surfaces are man made materials.
Oh yeah, nice start on the first Corvette...hope you enjoy the car. And as it is your first welcome to the Vette family, one thing is that you will find other Corvette owners waving at you, wave back! They are recognizing one of their own.

Napa leather is on the seating surfaces of 3LT interior only.

Some additional information about the 3LT- the leather on the dash and door panels is not Napa nor Mulan, it is called Providence leather. If you get competion seats on the 3LT, the leather is Milan not Napa.

Is it just me, or does it feel like GM can't figure out what kind of "leather" to use in the cars? Napa, Mulan, Providence, wtf??????
Giving me a migraine.

Fair point and I'm sure it's all about cost management.

I was under the impression the all of the 'WILD' or 'FREE RANGE' NAUGA'S were extinct as of the late 60's! Of course these 'NAUGA'S might be 'FARM RAISED'!

I invested in a Nauga ranch back in the 70's, lost my a#* when the market crashed.

The 1LT dash is not leather, but a composite of man made materials. I think on the 1LT only the seats are leather-mulan leather. But honestly who can really tell the difference in the dash materials.

People thought they were extinct in the late 60s but they were just hiding-hence the term "nauga hyde" (lol)

You're exactly right Corgi---when the Naugas began making endangered species lists, I believe the interiors were switched to a rich, Corinthian leather.
