Hi everyone!

New to the forum!

I have a December 57 build 58 Corvette and believe I have the original heads for. I need a November 57 casting date short block, but would take a whole engine, or just a block...love to find a standard bore, but can't get to picky!!

Date may not align with what you are looking for but it is std bore. Open to any offer.

Definitely bored more than I would want, but can't beat the price. Do you have any idea why it ran out of oil? Is it just the short block you are selling? I'll see if I can't give you a call in the next few days. I would like to get as much info before taking a chance on shipping it. Any time better for you to talk than others?

My car was built on the 12/2 or 12/3 57 so the numbers are just a painfully bit off! So close and I'm not to far from you to either.... Let me know if you get anything else in the future.

Did you find a block yet? I have a late 58 block, but will have to drag it out from under the bench to check the exact date.

I am trying to keep the date code in the realm of possibly fitting the cars build time line which is early December 57. Let me know what you have when you get the chance. Much appreciated!

I looked today . Block IS Flint #3737739, cast K-11-7, stamped F1112 EB (Flint, Nov. 12)Heads are still bolted on (3748770). It is a long block.(all there but intake). I have stored this engine inside for 40, yes FORTY years. I am sure it is standard bore, but don't have X-RAY vision. I live in Southern Illinois. Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob...that sounds like it would be pretty close to what I was asking for! Ideally I'd like to get the cast date a little closer to the cars birthday, but with the possibility it could be standard bore and November cast date I would probably call it close enough for me.
