Default 94 BUILD in progress, conversion

What's up Everyone. This is my build page. I bought a 1994 Corvette with 120K. LT1/4L60e Combo. Car had minor body damage, weatherstripping deteriorated, etc. I was able to drive the car for 2 months till the the head gaskets blew. This is what started me to make a full blown race street car.

LT1 Block Bored .40 0ver
385 CID
Callies Magnum XL 3.750 1pc Crank
Callies Ultra I Beam XD 5.850 Rods
JE Race Pistons, .40 Over
Compression Static 12:1

This is just a piece of what is going into the build. I have also completely swapped in a Black Tag ZF6 Transmission and Dana 44 currently with a 3.45 Ratio. Will eventually change it to a 4.10 down the line. As you go thru this thread i have converted and swapped even more drivetrain, suspension and brake mods. When im finished I will have a completely sheet of everything i Did with cost to see how much went into making a C4 into a flashy, respectable, fast car.

Very nice progression! The painted ZF looks tough in black. You have everything lined up. Ready for your new engine. What are you replacing with carbon fiber.

American Hydrocarbon for the dash Hydro dip. The brackets should've been black but its temporary till i get the car running and then swapped out.

Why did you switch the steering column?

Nice build thread. What flywheel/clutch setup are you going to go with? BTW I changed the column also when I did the swap, figured with everything else out of the car it was it was easier to swap it than redoing the ignition switch for the manual's lock out.

I Changed the column due to wear and VATS being inoperable. Down the Line it will just act as a wheel unlock and will be a push button start. My choice of clutch will be a Hays Dragon Claw Twin Disc Most Likely. Will decide that last. Would Like to have a high Revving stroker motor.

high reving?? will not be needed with a 383. I had a aluminum LT4 clutch mated to a single traditional L/W fly wheel. My compression on my 383 is 11.4. loved the combo. No drive-ability. issue's. Just the standard bearing scatter "sound" @ idle. from the classic front bearing that needs to be shimmed behind the retainer. I will be installing my McLeod Street Pro setup. fairly soon.

heard some stories of flywheel's letting loose track racing and hardcore street racing, would like to turn my 383 up to 7200RPMs or so...not saying i'll be running it that high on the street but maybe occasionally. Heard a lakewood BH would be a good safety measure. Still not set in stone on clutch/FW yet but i think i will go with that clutch.

I would still consider a fidanza FW though not ruling it out.
