engine reduced power
hi
every once in a while mostly during some start ups it shows me engine reduced power and the car starts shaking, impossible to drive
so i shut down the car and after about 5 min it drives fine, but engine light shows up
i was wondering could that be because of the weak battery?
because my doors also don't open up right away
Thanks

Have the battery load tested, most parts stores will do this for free.
Check the spark plug wires also, as they have a tendency to pop off.
The door thing may or may not be related to the battery. They are know to develop dirty switch pad contacts inside them, both buttons.

Find out what codes it has first. It may have a possible dirty throttle body. They get gummed up inside. Kind of like a thin coating of tar. It gets worse depending on how many miles your car has. If this is your problem it should be removed and cleaned. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean it. Gasoline or Seafoam with a small non abrasive brush works. Do not move the throttle blade while cleaning unless you disassemble it.

I was referring to a throttle controller that would connect between the gas pedal and wiring connector (such as the Vitesse Throttle Controller or equivalent). I had one on my car and got the same message as you did. I have no idea what caused the message and check engine light to come on, but since I removed the controller, I have had not had a recurrence of the problem. Hope you find the solution to your problem.

The Vitesse doesn't change anything in the computer, it just alters the signal from the gas pedal. So there is no need to "reset" anything. Before removing mine, I contacted Vitesse to report my problem. We agreed that I would first disconnect it from the throttle and verify that there was no longer a problem. When the problem no longer existed, I returned the product to Vitesse for a partial refund. I have not had a problem since returning the car back to original, nearly 4 months now.

with the original setup
it means the controller had a problem right ?

As far as I'm concerned, yes the Vitesse was the problem in my case. After returning the controller for refund, Vitesse said they checked it out and could not find a problem with it. All I know is my car had a problem with it installed, and it doesn't have a problem since removing it.

Remove the aftermarket throttle controller and drive it for a couple of weeks to see if the problem comes back.

Did you check your wires? The clicking sound you heard might be a loose wire arcing.
