You do realize that item is not a seat belt track?
It is a guide for small people and booster seats.
From the manual:
The seat has a safety belt guide.
The safety belt guide helps position the shoulder belt over the shoulder and across the chest of smaller adults and of older children who have outgrown booster seats.
To use the safety belt guide, slide the edge of the belt webbing through the opening on the guide.
Be sure the belt is not twisted. If a child will be riding in the vehicle, see Older Children in page 3-27 or Infants and Young Children on page 3-28.

Some of the members have used the black shrink tape to close the gap where the belt goes in. They have cut a piece that they wrap around the 2 sides and use a hair dryer or heat gun to shrink it into place. An advanced search on this forum may find results about others and their solutions.

I'm 6'!" and I use it. I don't like where the belt falls without it. If it's for booster seats for small children why is it on the drivers side? haha

I had the same problem and cut about a 1 1/2 inch section of clear tubing (about 1/2 inch inside dia.) and put that on - seat belt problem has been solved for the past year or so.

It it were me, I would NOT take the car to the dealer for little things like that, just take care of it myself. You risk labeling yourself as a "helpless customer" at the service department.

I have the same issue.
Its really just nit picking but annoying.
All of the fixes - tape and tubing - and explanations - booster seat - above make no sense relative to the driver's side.
The belt should stay put on a car you spend anywhere from $65 - 120K on.

Are you people listening. "SMALLER ADULT OR CHILDREN" it has nothing to do with driver or passanger seat. I am 6 foot and it dosent work for me. My wife is 5'4" and she uses it when she drives or sits in the passanger seat.
