Default 40th Annual Corvette Spectacular Sept. 18

Santa Clara Corvettes is pleased to announce our 40th Annual Corvette Spectacular Car Show. It will be held on Main Street of Los Altos on Sunday, September 18, 2016.

One of the largest gatherings of show Corvettes on the West Coast, this year’s Spectacular will feature more than 160 new, classic, racing and show Corvettes along Los Altos downtown Main Street. Main Street will be closed to auto traffic for this event, allowing pedestrian viewing pleasure while surrounded by local shops and restaurants, entertained by live music and notable speakers announcing activities.

The Spectacular presents the history and legacy of the Chevrolet Corvette automobile since 1953. As American’s only production sports car for 63 years, Corvette has led styling, performance and vehicle recreation.

There is no charge for spectators and all are welcome to come view these fantastic Corvettes in their finest. Corvette registration opens at 8:00 am, show judging begins at 11:00am and awards begin at 3:30pm. Fun for car
buffs and families as there will be festival atmosphere and vendors to share the day’s experience.

You can download the flyer and registration form here: http://www.sccorvettes.org/Events/Co...ectacular.aspx

I wouldn't worry about it. Judges at these shows are very lenient.

Default Any spaces available as of July 15?

Just bought a 2016 Z06 and would love to participate in the show. I live in Salinas so I would like to know if there are any spaces left. Thanks, Jim

You still have to register. Just check the box on the registration form that says "Please check if Do Not Judge". It is right after the line for your email address.

Relax and enjoy the show.

The USPS has released another Elvis stamp. The sheet is very cute, looks like a 45 rpm record.

But, you're about to say "What's a record?"

For the first time in many years, I'm probably going to miss the Corvette Spectacular. I've tentatively scheduled my Museum Delivery for Sept. 12, and will probably be at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum on Sept. 18. Not a bad substitute. My car will be built in a couple weeks. And, BTW, I bought my car from Tim Boone from Boardwalk Chevrolet, who often has a booth at the Spectacular. Great guy to work with!
