There's a pause button while listening to the radio. I didn't think much of it, as I normally listen to music from my phone, where I use the pause button often.

Only a few minutes later did I realize it was HD radio that I had paused.

I read in the manual that some radios have a playback feature or something like that. My Ram truck has that and I use it all the time. It will store the last 60 minutes of play on satellite radio. Does anyone have this feature on their radio. if so, what model C7 do you have to get this. I have a 2016 2LT.

2014s have that feature as well. Best I have been able to determine, it rewinds only as far back as the time you changed to that particular channel (Relative to the 60 minutes someone else mentioned)

I think my 17 automatically switches to HD if it's being broadcasted, I'll have to look for a pause button.
Funny just yesterday while driving the car I was wishing I could rewind it, and was thinking it had all of the electronics to do that, it was just a software issue.

It doesn't. 2017s don't have HD radio.

I have a 16 and would like to know why they omitted that feature. I couldn't have cost them anything to keep it so why. Is it possible to have this restored by having an update done on the radio/DIC. I have that on my RAM and use it all the time. Could this be coded back in?

HD radio was dropped from Corvettes after the 2014 model year. It's my understanding that the reason was the complaints that many had over dropouts. As you know, HD radio reception can easily fail when driving through uneven terrain. Apparently GM felt that the lack of reliability (due to the way HD radio works and not because of any flaws in the hardware) posed more of a hassle than it was worth.

It can not be added. The HD decoding chip set is not in the hardware.

I'm an idiot, I have a 16, and it must be my 2015 Jeep(I got this one right) that automatically switches.

I use apple carplay to listen to Iheart radio. The wife and I love listening to America's top 40 court down the 80's with Casey Kasem

Funny thing is GM still offers it on the Cadillac lines
