OK guys.....School me on GS vs Base Vette...
Aside from the obvious differences in the body, wheels, tires, brakes, scoops and vents, are there any other major differences between the two? Do they both have the same engine, driveline etc.?
TIA.
TIA.

Here's one of the best I've seen
Performance, bigger tires, better suspension, brakes, as you mention. If a GS is in your price range some obvious advantages to it over the base...which is what I have and a great vette for me. Good luck looking, either can be a great car depending on what you are looking for. The GS is a pretty good upgrade for a C6.

Thanks for the links and info. I'm getting pretty excited as I'm about to be in a position to get a GS in the next few weeks. I've got a pretty good idea of what's out there and what the prices are.
This will be my third Corvette; I had an '02 Torch Red coupe and an '06 Victory Red coupe. Looking forward to the wide-body.

I recently purched a 2007 C6 base coup. (Please don't mistake my post because I love our new fun machine) There are a couple of guys that I run with who have Grand Sports. They have done some mods ie: superchargers, cams, headers, and some exhaust/mufflers. Those cars are spectacular. Between the great looks of the wide body C6, and the 500 to 600+ rwhp their running, I think it would be the ultimate choice. My next Vette will be a 2013 GS that I will customize to my liking. Here's a couple of pics. Good luck with your decision.
