IMSA weathertech serries at limerock July 22/23
I didn't see a thread so I figured I would start one. IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge will be at Limerock Park July 22/23rd. Weathertech will feature PC, GT-LM, and GT-D so it will be a chaotic, awesome time. There is a corvette corral. Who else is planning on going?

I'm going, just not sure if I'll attend the corral or not.
Just don't understand why the corvette corral tickets for Watkins Glen a couple weeks ago were only $160 for 2 people with 3 days of racing and for 2 days of racing at lime rock for 2 people in the corvette corral you are looking at $390. At least for lime rock I don't have to get a hotel since it's only about 45 min from my house.

I'll be there in my usual spot in the infield both days. No corral this year for me. Corvette still in pieces.

I have been to the Watkins Glen Corvette corral for the last three years and the Baltimore Gran Prix Corvette Corral for three years prior to WG. For many years I have been to the Lime Rock Corvette Corral. I will be there this year too.
Unless there are some significant additional benefits at this year's Corral (I am unaware of any) I will not be participating in the Lime Rock Corvette Corral in the future due to the large price increase this year. (Tickets & Corral)

Just a Public Service Announcement here.......
If you are Active Duty or Retired military, general admission is free with your Military ID.
Still have to pay for Car Corrals and/or any other special stuff.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday with my little dude. His brother has been to a bunch of races with me, so he asked for a turn.... Have corral tickets, unfortunately change of plans and we are flying in so we will be in a rental car instead. Hoping if I get something that says Chevy on it I can park close by.
I've never been to lime rock, can you watch the race from the tent, or do I need to stop at a store along the way and get some folding chairs? I've done the corral at VIR which is in a good location for watching and the street races at Baltimore and Long Beach which you can't watch from.
Also, since I won't have the Corvette, if anyone is doing the parade lap without a passenger and wants company, I know of a 6 year old who will be thumbing for a ride.

I would think it will be easy to find someone willing to take him for a parade lap.

I haven't been to Lime Rock since they took some of the infield hillside down a couple years ago, but that hillside #34 is where most people watch the race. I'd recommend either a chair or blanket when you go. Temps are looking in the low 90's so bring a hat/sunscreen/cooler
If the corral is on the skidpad I don't think there will be much watching the race from there. Campers usually line the back straight and west bend which will block your view.

It's probably because Club Corvette Of Conn. are running the corral this year.

Weather looks great for Saturday, 91 and sunny!
I'll be there in The Prius. Hopefully there is a good turnout and the #4 can extend their lead over the rest of the field.

At track now. Smallest Corvette Corral l've ever seen! Tent is really small!
