Default I hate it when people write on paint

I come home and had my car parked outside a couple of days because of garage work. Somebody decided to write "Wash me : )" on my car. I have a black c6. When i saw it i already knew my clear coat was scratched. I mean how stupid can people be these days. Im trying to figure out who it was. People dont realize how hard i work to keep this thing clean and taken care of. I barely have 10k miles on it. Im just pissed off.

As you know, this act is essentially writing with sandpaper. I'm truly sorry!

The scratches can be removed with a lot of work or with a lot of money to have somebody do it for you. People are ignorant. Good luck

Unfortunately most people don't think nor do they know the damage that they are doing. It's very hard to keep anything perfect now a days. Sorry.

Most people don't care about their vehicles and also have no clue what causes scratches and swirls because they only go to a carwash and never actually bother to wash it themselves. Take a look at a lot of the $80k brand new Yukon Denali's running around and they're trashed.

They think that it's funny but we know that they should keep their hands off of other peoples cars.

You should thanking the Lord above it was dust and a finger versus a key.

I'd comment to not stress so much as a rock chip will be next.

Dust scratch should polish out with a buffer.

Have fun and good luck.

5 minutes with some Scratch-X or similar product and it will be good as new. I understand your frustration but things are going to happen.

Yup, there's stupid people everywhere. You'd think those same stupid people would be too busy looking for Pokemon versus taking the time to dust write on your car.

I think i will come out with a polisher but it is still very annoying. I hsually mever let that must dirt accumulate on my car. I do have a PorterCable dual action polisher which i will use to try to get these out using meguiars 105 and 205. Whoever did it wasnt trying to create harm i dont think but i just cant stand this crap.

Not to be inconsiderate but look at your car in the picture after the wash, it is one big swirl mark inside the u scratch. I am assuming your whole car is that way because that swirl was not created when they wrote on your car. Your whole car needs to be rubbed out. I don't think writing on your car made it any worse than what it was although I'm not saying it was right to write on your car to begin with.

Yes, you are correct. The car was going to be polished by me this month anyways. I just recently bought it like this. Whoever had it before probably used improper washing technique. Writing on it definitely made it worse though....i have a happy face in the paint now. Will compound and polish the car in a couple weeks. Hopefully it comes out good.

Wont take much effort with a soft cloth and a bottle of 06060 extra cut 3m compound.. It wont require a buffer just finger tips and half an hour..

Seems like some people want to find an excuse for just about any kind of bad behavior. That's why this country sucks. If someone wrote on the OPs car and scratched the finish then that person is responsible for doing some damage to the OP. That's it! No lame excuses. No critical analysis of the condition of his car prior to the indiscretion of the perp.
