Default What cam are you running with your blower setup?

Hello all,

I just recently purchased an A&A V-7 YSI complete kit from someone on the forum. It will be going on my H/C/I 2000 FRC.

My question to y'all is, what is a good cam to go with on this setup? I currently have a tick performance polluter stage 3 cam (239/244 | .635”/.610” | LSA112+3).

I am almost positive I will need a new cam that is more boost specific correct?

Thanks!

I am running a Tick Stage 1 LS2 blower cam and love it. If you don't want to stick with your current cam, call Martin@Tick and ask what he would do. There is BTR and a few other places that could help too.

With a small cube motor, F1R procharger, good fuel, and 4 digit power in mind, I was built a 235/248 .610/.596 114+6.

Love it! Great driveability. Just wish it had more of a lope. ECS has the regular blower cam, but this one is the big blower cam they have for use with 400+ cubed motors. They told me it would work fine in my ls6. I haven't had any issues.

I'd rock the same cam personally. You'll blow a little boost out the tailpipes but that ain't no thing. I ran a similar cam when I was procharged(and turbocharged) and loved it.

Stick with the cam you have if you like it. It's only gonna rock that much more with the centrifugal blower.

i agree (sticking with the cam you have) although the jamcam would prolly blow those stickies off your tires.

If you already like the drivability of your current cam, then keep it.
If it runs good n/a, then it will run Great once you add boost.

I agree. I kept my 238/254 .625/.610 114+3 when I added the V3 Si on my 408 and am happy. I'm only makin about 5.5 lbs on a 3.8 pulley but the car still sounds nasty at idle. I plan to pulley down soon to make up for some of the boost I'm loosing.
