Default 3963512 Block 2 or 4 bolt

Is there a way to identify a 2 or 4 bolt block with out removing the oil pan?
It is in a tribute 1969 COPO Camaro

Easiest way is to use a borescope down the dip stick tube to check it out.

If you don't have one, you probably have a friend or two that do have them.

Good luck... GUSTO

Get a good clear picture showing where the oil pressure line is on the block 4 bolts have a extra drill and tapped boss for a extranal oil cooler that 2 bolts do not have. But you can drill that in a 2 bolt block.

Most of them come with attachments that slip over the end that has a mirror to see up, when the camera is pointed down. Mine has these attachments.

It's one of the things that have made them so popular and frankly driven the price of them down significantly.

Good luck... GUSTO

Yes, those all look like 4 bolts. You can even see the main cap in the lower one and top one.
