Default 2016 Z06 Hesitation Question

I have a 2016 Z06, question has anyone experienced any sort of hesitation at around 45-55 mph as you accelerate. The dealer says it normal, I don't buy it.

Thanks for you comments:

Thanks for you comments:
I get a hesitation in mine when "flooring" it...I just figure it's TC kicking in.

Same here. Takes a while for the pedal to tell my A8 to drop down a few gears or possibly to light up the other 4 cylinders.

Once the gears change and the throttle changes, the cannons go off.

Thanks for you comments:
A8 or M7?

I do not have any hesitation (other than traction control if that kicks in) and do not think it would be "normal" if you did.

The only hesitation I've ever experienced is PTM modulation of the throttle/timing in Track/Sport1, and the car will have a completely different sound and everything because it's intentionally doing it. But you have to be in a PTM mode and exiting a corner for it to do it, so it's almost certainly not that.

Yes I have it, Second gear, floor it at the same speeds the OP mentioned, it takes a brief instant to respond. It's not TC or anything like that, it's a small delayed response to my command(in this case the command is full throttle).

You sure it isn't TC?

My old Cadillac XLR did this too.
The only way I found to keep it from happening was to turn off TC.

Mine is from tc when downshifting if I dont give it a second to register the gobs of Tq..other then that a good tune will help.

A neat little device called Peddle Max, takes the lag out of the throttle, about $250.00, easy install, about 10 minutes. If you have gotten use to the lag especially in the M7, you will have to get use to the immediate response.

Maybe we'll get another Vitesse throttle controller review thread. Hoping for another video of guys pushing the gas pedal and then raising their eyebrows saying 'wow!'.

I haven't noticed that with my A8 in auto mode.
I'll try some experiments...

I really don't want to buy something like this if I don't have to.

it only happens with an immediate downshift followed by a smash of the pedal,if i give it a second to register there is no issue...My freind with a C7 even commented that when i revd he swore there was a lag in the exhaust note but he could have just been jealous

Does it change in track mode? It might be programmed in or torque management.

I have a 2016 ZO6/ZO7 and have experienced the same thing. I have a friend who has a 2015 ZO6 and has added a Larger and polished Throttle Body and an AFE intake. I drove his, then mine. His does not hesitate at all and mine does. He says it changed after he put the Throttle Body on...The exhaust note is different too. They are both A8's

I ported my throttle body on my 2016 A8. Hesitation disappeared also.

Stupid question...
Did you do it yourself or did you have someone do it for you?

I bought my car CPO and it seemed to have a brief hesitation at first, but as I have driven it over the summer I don't feel it. The computer learning my driving habits maybe?
