C7 Z51 Red Brake Calipers For Sale (F&R) NEW!
SOLD...NO LONGER FOR SALE!
One full set of four (two front and two rear) C7 Z51 red brake calipers. Brand new, never installed or used. Includes four (two front and two rear) new, never used brake lines.
They were shipped to me, all four in one single carton, wrapped in bubble wrap. A few of the calipers have a small nick or two where they contacted each other during shipment. If desired, these are easily and reliably touch-up-able with Testors Red enamel paint, available at any hobby store.
See 27 pictures here: http://s444.photobucket.com/user/cop...?sort=3&page=1
Any nicks are featured with a close up picture. Please remember, some of the nicks are on the backside of the calipers which will never be seen.
$1,000 takes all four, delivered! (I will ship them carefully packaged so no nicks occur).
Quote from GM:
The Z51 Brake Kit features slotted rotors with diameters measuring 345mm in front and 338mm in rear. This increases the overall diameter in relation to your “standard” Corvette Stingray’s 321mm front rotors and increases the brake torque up to 57% on average. This kit also features high-performance pads, which provide greater resistance to brake fade at track condition rotor temperatures over 500 degrees C. Coupled with the Z51 Brake Cooling Kit, this system will match the braking performance of the Z51 brake system.

Thank you!

I don't understand why the z51 brakes aren't selling like hotcakes. They are a great brake system. I guess its the lack of cross generation compatibility? I think you have a great price on them.

Hello, click,
Yes, they are a direct bolt-on replacement, however you will need the larger diameter rotors.
If you are heading to the track, you may also want to consider the better cooling used RacingBrake rear two-piece rotors the I have for sale, here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-z51-used.html
If your application is street or occasional track use, you'll only need to purchase Chevrolet C7-Z51 O.E. rotors. Go to this link to read another forum members step-by-step conversion: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-stingray.html
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance!
Thank you,
Joe

Thanks for the info joe,
I really only like the look better. I have the dark grey on my car, and I am not a fan. (Non z51).
I am trying to figure out if 1000 for calipers and another few hundred for rotors, plus the work, is how much I like them better

Aren't Z51 and base stingray calipers the same? Just bigger rotors?

The red brake calipers are a GM OEM $595 option, why the $1000 price?

And my $1,000 price for four brand new, never installed C7 Z51 red calipers is a lower than any price I've previously seen on any forum or eBay.
Thank you for asking!

The Z51 rear calipers are the same as the base Stingrays, as are the rotors, however the Z51 rear rotors are slotted.
See this very informative link: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tingray-2.html
