Default What is this?

What is this block with the 4 hydraulic lines?

Also, what underhood fluid is red in color?

Looks like a got a leak and I'm not sure where's its coming from, but it's all over the hood liner and all over engine components.

That's the anti lock brake module. The reddish fluid is probably antifreeze.

That's the ABS unit. Transmission fluid is red manual or Auto. Coolant is pinky red.

Some people don't need to try and work on a car. Wood be better off taking the car to the dealership.

If you car is a auto look close to the rad at the transmission lines for any leaks. Also look for coolant leaks also it has to be one of those if you have that much all under the liner and motor.

Look at your coolant tank to check if it is low are has your car temp getting any higher in temp.

If your car is a auto these transmission can run very long being low, are you WILL burn it up for sure. Robert

Default Same red thing

I have the same problem. But mine is on the leaf spring and not on the ABS module, on the same side. It smells petroleum with a hint of coolant. I will take a picture when I get a chance.

ABS module.

Modern antifreeze is orange.
Old style antifreeze is green

Red fluid is generally transmission fluid.

Clear-ish to yellow tint is brake fluid and power steering fluid

Kind of like the Mobil1 grease from the grease gun.
