Default c4 front license plate filler

The filler can't be in place with a license plate behind it correct? Can't have both in place?

That is correct. Filler = no plate. Plate = no filler.

It can if you drill two small holes near the bottom of the license plate to allow the two filler-panel screws to pass through.

Or you could get one of these. Don't know how good they look but it's another option.

Did this on my '90. Told the cop it was only on for shows. Took it off on the spot. Saved $$.

It is a violation of the CC&Rs (Corvette Code of Regulations) to drive around with a front plate on your Corvette. A true Corvette purist will never have a front plate on a Corvette. In most cases in California, unless you're a cute blonde or a "Dirt bag" looking guy, more than likely you won't get stopped.

I've never had a front plate on my car, I've never been pulled over and my car gets driven a lot.

My Vette didn't come with one and the first search I did showed me one for $300 so I just put the plate on. I hate the way it looks and just found them a lot cheaper so I'll be ordering one soon.

I purchased a clear plastic filler, can't remember where, & it keeps the line of the original filler. It looks good & I have a front plate.

Unfortunately, many states are not so willing to look the other way about this. I am neither a cute blonde, nor a dirt bag, and I have been stopped for not having the front plate installed. Some localities encourage LEOs to see this as a revenue opportunity.

As well, the increasing prevalence of license plate reading cameras (they're nearly everywhere in my area) provides additional incentive for enforcement.

For me, it's not worth the hassle of getting stopped, or the expense of the fine. I dislike the requirement, but the front plate is on.

I did the same. It splits the difference between by having the plate installed and visible, without ruining the contours of the front bumper. The only downside is the durability of the clear cover panel. It scratches very easily, and will become yellow and opaque with long-term exposure to UV radiation. My '94 is nearly always garaged, so it's not so much of a problem.

Actually I trimmed the license plate back to do just that.
The tough part is the filler screws are a "B" to access.
