Formula One - GERMANY - TV Times (U.S.)
Formula One - GERMANY Schedule on NBC Sports Network
=======================================
THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THIS WEEKEND SO HEADS UP
*ALL* showings this weekend will be on NBC SPORSNET.
QUALIFYING is being shown only once!!
There is a Pre-Pre-Race show.
The post-race show "F1 Extra" is shown immediately after the race
show whatever time that may be. So the simplest way to make sure you
record it is to simply added enough extra time to the race broadcast to
get (a) any extra time that was needed to record the entire race
including any delays, and (b) "F1 Extra". I normally add THREE HOURS to
the race recording.
I pull this info from from my Tivo's schedule. I have no guarantee that
it is correct but it usually is. I double check it with the NBC Sports
NET schedule, too.
This is the last race before the August break.
The next race will be August 26-28 at Spa-Francorchamps.

In a statement issued on Thursday after the meeting in Geneva, it was confirmed that the ban has been lifted, with the exception of the formation lap.
“At the request of the Teams and Commercial Rights Holder, the FIA has agreed to adopt a more liberal approach to the interpretation of Article 27.1 (that a driver must drive the car “alone and unaided”),” a statement from the FIA reads.
”With the exception of the period between the start of the formation lap and the start of the race, there will be no limitations on messages teams send to their drivers either by radio or pit board.
“This approach is aimed at providing improved content for fans and spectators, as teams will now be required to provide the Commercial Rights Holder with unrestricted access to their radio messages at all times that their cars are out of the garage.”

It does look a tad odd but I think it's just because it looks "wrong" to eyes long-accustomed to the current tire sizes. We all know what an F1 car is supposed to look like and this is not it.
Here's a photo gallery of pics from Vettel's test day. I think tomorrow Gutierrez will do the driving.

As I said before, I can *probably* see it by downloading it to my local box and then watching it with VLC (no exploit-laden Adobe crappola required.) I just haven't updated my browser since Youtube (aka Google "the champions of internet freedom") decided that they are going to be the browser police and force people to use things they might not want to use. The result is that I can't see YouTube at all on that machine for the moment. My phone can't download things from there (it's a browser plug-in.) I'll deal with it soon. Sigh.
I do appreciate it, though
