I use a spray gloss enhancer on the lens and on the transparent top to clean and protect. no harm done so far.

If they can absorb rocks, bugs, and other nasty airborne missles, they'll gladly accept a gentle coating of wax.

It is ok to wax the headlights on regular basis. This will keep them in top shape.

What does the owners manual say?

At least with Toyota, Toyota says not to wax as the wax can damage the protective covering/ clear coat over the lens.

Other co-members insights are valuable to answer question.

Me, I have had for over a decade a 3M product over mine, which I use Mequirs (spelling) plastic cleaner then their plastic polish with no ill effects.

I always try and keep mine polished and waxed so they don't have a chance to fade as much.

It didn't used to be that way. I used car was on my windows some 20 odd years ago and thought it was great. Then one day I got in and the was had gone to crap and could barely see through the window.

It was a B--- to get that wax off too.

My experience was so bad I never tried it again until I got my Vette.
