7 hours, virtually non-stop, as we were in and out of the pits, changing drivers, giving hot lap experiences in the right seat, and letting some others drive. Our Callaway SC757 Z06 Corvette NEVER missed a beat
3 tanks of fuel, the better part of a new set of Sport Cup tires and lots of FUN!!
What a great day today at Summit Point Raceway Park with some icons of automobiles - thought this pics was pretty epic with the cars we had on-hand The 911 Turbo S was an awesome machine!! And the B2K Callaway Twin Turbo was an awesome counter for the Porsche 959
More pics later... I'm exhausted... Been on the road since 6:30 AM

That B2K is literally the reason I am the Corvette fan I am today. As a kid of the 80's, that Callaway body took the Corvette to the next level, and I am always excited to see one. Saw a GS at Bowling Green with the aerobody a couple years back...talk about a great looking car.
Callaway did some great things back in the day...and they've continued to do some great road racing things overseas. I wish we could see more of that road racing Callaway spirit in America.... How did an americana brand like Callaway, end up so...non american? Everything good Corvette is in Europe!

So true.... Callaway is Corvette insiders tuner car,,, Great concept but Callaway has too excite others... Inspire... easy pathway to buy.
Hunt-in-Find... is not enough
"Greenwood" for example; Great aftermarket Vette !

Since I live about 45 minutes from Summit Point, Chris was kind enough to invite me to bring my Callaway 2015 Z06 M7 to the party. What a great experience catching up with the Chris and Mike, and meeting the MotorWeek crew.
Just being around the four cars was a blast! Each car is a design and engineering work of art in its on way. Once the MotorWeek crew had the cameras set up for a filming session, the pro drivers started up the Porsche engines and ran hot laps. The full throttle engine "music" and exhaust notes down the main straightaway sent thrills down my spine. Great stuff!!
My favorite eargasm came in a later film session with the Porsche Turbo S and white Callaway Z06. The sound of the beautiful white Callaway Z06 accelerating down the main straightaway past the finish line before braking for Turn 1--the supercharger whine as the car approached my position, followed by the wonderful Callaway "Double D" exhaust note as it passed by--was so visceral and cool!
Mike drove my car with me in the passenger seat to show me the proper track line. He had to drive slower because my car wasn't track prepped and the larger than stock rear tires were rubbing on the sharp turns.
We remedied that situation by swapping cars. Mike "drove in anger" with me in the white Callaway Z06 for about six laps between filming sessions. I was in awe of his exceptional driving skill and ability to pivot the car around the sharp turns!
Thank you Callaway (Chris and Mike) for letting me tag along during this unique event!!

Gary, thank you for driving out to Summit Point. It was our pleasure to see you again and go for some laps
You are right, the sound of the Callaway SC757 Z06 w/ our opt. high flow sport exhaust was amazing, and the tips, but the end of the day, blued like a gun barrel
7 hours, virtually non-stop. Made today seem so slow in comparison.

Chris I'm considering getting a mostly stock corvette for some fun at the track and maybe TT. Feel free to sent me a PM if you don't want to discuss on line.
One simple question.............will your 2015/16 Z06 cool as well as a C6 ZR1 being pushed hard on the track by a somewhat capable driver.
Thanks
Joe M
