I have mine painted likes yours, except mine are black because my car is Cyber Gray. Black matched my 'glass' top and black 'halo'.

GM probably only kept it black because it was cheaper that way. My C6 is white, but everything above the door line is black, so it looks good.

There is a DIYS which shows you how on this forum. Only special tool you need is a rivet gun.
