Default First time at the drag strip

So a guy I work with was telling me about when he took his Mustang up to the local drag strip got me thinking... I figured, why not? So I take it up there (oh first I did some googling to learn about how to take off!) and did a few runs. Man was that fun!! I had a smile on my face a mile wide. The car held up fine although I didn't thrash it too bad. It was a real fun time. Drag strip is in Thompson Ohio which is pretty close. First run was in the 17's then I got it down to the low 15's by the end of the night. Ended up making 5 runs. I will have to do that again.

Well done. Be warned - it's addictive.

You may not have been the fastest there, but your car was certainly the best looking.

Glad you had fun!

Not bad learned quite a bit about your car!

Cant say it appealed much either til I tried it somehting about it

Noticed on the way home I didnt speed or get on it at all.
Beter for your car on a nice maintained surface no?
Like going up one long fwy onramp nothing harsh about it.

Time for mods.

Congratulations.
If you run it again in late October it will go 5 tenths quicker just from the better air.

It looks like you had some fun there, I'm glad for you that you got some pics of the event.

I made my first run down the strip in many years earlier this summer, made a fool of myself, had alot of fun and clicked off a best of 13.80
I've since made some small tuning changes to timing, jetting, and air filtration, and also have practiced at getting better with the fast shifting.
I can't wait to get out there again.....

hahaha! yes, the black money hole... And yes I raced my buddy who has a mustang and beat him. (I had a two second lead though...) good fun though. He is the one that took the pics of me going down the track. And yes I'm already thinking about next time. I will have to take out the cooler of beer and pop, and remove the spare. Oh yeah and maybe try not to have half a tank of gas in her!
