Default New Stingray in the Badlands of SD

In the middle of a 5,000 mi road trip, (25th wedding anniversary). Took this shot in the Badlands of South Dakota. This is the only way to travel. Gives new meaning to the phrase "See the U.S.A. in your Chevrolet".

I love the badlands... Been through there on my motorcycle. Kinda jealous you got to roll your 'Vette through there. Added to the bucket list.

Did that in 2013 on our way to Mt. Rushmore and then to Yellowstone. My C6 had never gotten that dirty as it did in Badlands. Congratulations the C7 looks great

Well....met a Wyoming State Trooper up close and personal yesterday. He was a good guy and gave me a break only citing me for 99 MPH in a 70. Two lane state road was deserted between Jackson Hole and Steamboat Springs, CO. He nailed me with "instant on" from about 1/4 mile away coming in the opposite direction. So much for the Escort. My foot wasn't even off the gas before the radar burst stopped. Pinned. Young dude. He loved the Vette and asked questions for several minutes after issuing the citation. Sometimes, you gotta pay if you play.

Your car looks great; looks like you pulled over and then detailed it immediately before taking the photos!

Terrific roads thereabouts. Had to drive each one twice. One time at "sporting speed" (perfect roads for it) and another time slowly to actually enjoy the beautiful scenery. Especially around Deadwood, Lead, Custer State park, etc. SeeMt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, and more.

One these years we have to try the Black Hills Classic .....a large Corvette rally out of Rapid City that takes place every July, just a few weeks before the Sturgis motorcycle rally.

Yep, if it's instant on, you're screwed. The planes can get you also.

Please post back when you find out how much this ticket costs.

I had been nabbed before in Montana. Doing about 95 in a 75 zone. Nobody really around. The cop wrote me up for like 85 which was nice. Still I expected it'd cost me big time as most speeding tickets carry large fines. It was some podunk town that I called up and then informed me that it would be $40! All I could think was "hell at that price I could have afforded a few more MPH!".
