Default Bought a New Grand Sport, what was MSRP vs Purchase $

Real simple, your 2017 Grand Sport's MSRP and your buy price not including any additional fees (no trades). Thanks!

MSRP $**,***

Purchase Price $**,***

I ran figures with a dealer yesterday. MSRP was just south of 77K which I got down to 73K. I'm still debating adding one or two options though. (PDR/Nav and the CF dash)

I can get a little more off from a forum dealer but it's just not worth it to me because dealers in my area are very difficult, read impossible, to get service with when you don't buy from them.

If that's true, complain to GM. That's ridiculous. I had that happen to me when I had a Volvo DL many years ago, 1980'ish. The guy said, I'd do this for you, but you didn't buy it here. I told him, "I WANTED to buy it here, but you guys simply could not get me the car. You said not only did you not have one, but you couldn't get one."

And that's true of a lot of these Chevy dealers who have one or two vettes on the lot. Ask them for one with your specs and the freak out on you. They don't have the allocations. GM is not gonna be happy with these jokers for playing games.

Was this price with a supplier or employee/friends discount?

Their are none in my area. I don't think we even have a performance tuner here lol. We used to have one for imports but they closed down. When I lowered my last Mustang I spent weeks looking for a garage that would even attempt it. Had to have it done at a dealer that primarily sells euro cars.

My parents purchased a car in Hershey a few years ago and when they brought it back none of the local GM dealers would service it. GM didn't help at all.

I'm idly curious about employee pricing - I have a family member who works at a local dealer, but their employee dicount is nowhere near the employee price I saw on a forum dealers price sheet.

This has got to be an employee price (or some other rebate, unless the dealer owed him a personal favor or something haha), it beats pretty much every price I've ever seen on a GS and even the 'real' invoice price of 10.28% or so that someone posted a worksheet of. Supplier is around 7.2% (there is a split of % between options and base car itself, the 7.2% is just a total ballpark).

Or maybe we're all wrong and he's just an insanely good negotiator (which is possible with his banking background) :P

Find that very curious as the local Chevy, BMW, Mercedes dealer in town has been happy to deal with warranty work and other for my C6 and C7 bought out of state!

The service department is run as a separate business and the Service Manager and his department rated by GM in phone call surveys for their service NOT by the sales department who care about where you bought the car! In fact I picked up my cars (my C6 from over 600 miles) as the sales department "Would not accept courtesy delivery!"

Have you talked with the Service Manager?
