2017 Grand Sport Splash Guard install
I just installed the front and rear splash guards I ordered from Cultrag. The prices were great and the shipping super quick!....although thes GM parts are not 100% without problems.
Here are a couple of photos of the install...the first photo show the rear guard. Everything went well except the new guards are missing a clip. See the photo....not a biggie but be careful not to destroy clip when you remove it from the old guard and transfer it over to the new one....the front guards are fine because they screw into the chassis, so no need to have a fastener clip.....
Here's the BIGGIE....The front guards do NOT extend down low enough.
Again see the photo...the side skirt is about 1 inch lower than the guard. The skirt will get sandblasted by the front tire....for sure! Not what I expected!
In summary, are they a good $135 dollar investment?...I guess but I surely would have like them to protect the side skirts a bit more...and maybe a bit wider....so make your own decision....

With all due respect, the mud guard topic has been discussed many, many times. The GM OEM front mud guard surface area is not sufficient. ACS Composite front mud guards that look like OEM are designed with a wider surface area and longer length.

With all due respect....just skip over the topic if you have no personal interest!...
A quick perusal of topics...and I found ZERO posts regarding splash guards on a C7 Grand Sport!....
It is rather simple....just click your mouse, with all due respect!

There are quite a few for the z06 though and the same problems are inherent to the grand sport. To an extent also for the coupe but the rear end isnt as wide.

At least now we know definitively, these guards are NG for GSs....as well as Z06's,...

Thanks for the info...what wasn't apparent was that this problem is inherent to the GS. GS's are just being received in the last 1 1/2 week so without data point, I took the time to post my experiences with splash guards, which were advertised to go on 2017 Grand Sports!....

Sorry that you had to learn the hard way but this has been discussed ad nauseum. If you want the best protection, this is what you want to do:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...sh-guards.html
There is also a thread on O'Reilly flaps. Think also by gve. Still much better than OEM.
I did the real truck mod but placed them 1/2" higher. They still scrape with some very aggressive driving but I have zero chips on the side of the car. I've seen many Z's with sandblasted rear ducts. I have no idea why more people don't do this. Godspeed.

I think you need to re-read my post!....
The problem with the guards is "the new for 17 half skits" , as you wrote, on the 2017 GS!...seeing the 2017 GS have only been around for a few weeks, I thought it was appropriate...and helpful to post the installation... Discussion of the GM guards on the 2017 GS has NOT been discussed ad nauseum!
From now on seeing the negative reaction to my post, I will not expend any more time or energy posting anything!....I will simply sit on the sidelines and complain about posts that I don't like....Maybe I just need more caffeine this morning or maybe I am just reacting to the negativism which seemingly has infiltrated this forum.
As for learning the hard way...I have contacted Cultrag and they in turn have contacted GM about the problem with the front guards for the 2017 GS. So maybe...just maybe something positive will come out of this thread....

The GS and Z bodywork are the same (outside of the new for 17 half skits). So any conclusions drawn on the Z are valid for the GS.

Will GS splash guards work on a Z06?

Does look like GM should have made the front splash guards longer.

My observation....
The splash guard that you show for the rear is a discontinued item that was discontinued by GM in 2013. Part # 22935640.
I installed splash guards on my C7 with a perfect fit (see images). My parts numbers were different from what you show in your image.
Below is the info on your discontinued part from 2013.
Below is the invoice on the OEM GM Splash Guard from GMpartsdirect.com a CF vendor.
Below are images of my OEM GM Splash guards installed and are a perfect fit.
I would say you were sold the wrong parts, non-compatible with your car since the part number is clearly shown and I have documented that the part number listed has been discontinued.
Certainly, something is not right.
In addition, the part numbers list in my own invoice shown did not require any clips for the install of the OEM GM splash guards.
The part numbers listed in my invoice fit the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Stingray, Z06 and GS models.
