Although I ordered from a large Corvette dealer who expected they would have allocations today, they got zero. What's everyone else hearing? Are other dealers getting allocations?

Ah, allocations! I got to go thru the exciting process twice, with my Stingray and my Z06. A really fun experience, and since I went with Kerbeck both times I got in with no problem, and Dave provided weekly updates from order acceptance to shipping of my car. Very very fun.

My dealer who was 82nd in 2015 Corvette sales said no allocation as well, however, he also stated that doesn't mean my order won't be picked up.

Not sure how the process works for GM to pick up an order if you've no allocation.

Ordered about a month ago. They said zero Z06 allocations today.

Remember that GM only accepts Z06 orders once a month.

The dealer that put in my order this morning said that they will get a notice from GM on Tuesday of next week confirming if the order is accepted or not..........

Exact same thing my dealer told me. Only difference is my order was placed 7/27/16.

My dealer didn't get an allocation either. I'm hoping they do and my order is placed when GM starts accepting orders.

Some things don't make sense with this allocation process.

If production is scheduled to start September 5th how could the 2nd largest dealer not have allocations and the next chance be one month from now?

About this Thursday/Tuesday thing... Are the allocations given to dealers on Thursday and gm accepts them after on Tuesday? If yes, does that mean some dealers really got allocations today or are things being misreported?

Some dealers don't get allocation because they are not known to move corvette fast. Priority goes to high volume corvette dealers.

Yes, dealers will know if they have allocation on Thursday and can submit the orders. GM should pickup the orders on Tuesday given that the dealer orders didn't have constrained options.

Some members are reporting TPW 9/5 for Grand Sport. I doubt GM would build grand sport and Z06 on the same week. My guess is that the Z06 TPW will be moved back.

Wait.... So if the dealer I ordered my Z didn't get an allocation they have to wait till next month? My dealership is small, if this is the process I don't think my dealership will get a allocation for a long time. Why doesn't GM give allocations to the dealership that have people with deposits down first?

Because GM knows nothing about that deposit and, quite frankly: doesn't care about it. The deposit is a contract between you and the Chevy dealer, not you and GM. Remember that dealerships are independently owned businesses.

Dealership deposits are a small-term 0% interest loan that you're giving the dealer. That's all it really is.

according to my dealer, which id a big dealer, delivers Corvettes nation wide, there were no allocations to ANY dealers as of today, but there were also no restraints in the order system. Everything shown on the build order system was able to be entered today, which was not the case 2 days ago. We just have to see when GM starts accepting those orders , and from which dealers.....

Hurry up & wait !!

Sure sounds like no allocations have been confirmed. Frankly, it doesn't seem that surprising to me. Seems logical that GM would release the information on the 2017 changes and THEN accept orders. Not that logic necessarily applies to much of this process.

I expect GM will make an announcement just prior to Carlisle and have a couple of the new Zs there to check out.

But really, why all the secrecy?
