Vitesse Controller is "THE BOMB"
Installed the Vitesse yesterday evening. I followed "Rooster's" suggestion and removed the gas pedal. Took a little effort because of the tight quarters. I fished the wire through the carpet hole above the gas pedal and hid the wire and control box behind the carpet. hiding the wires was very easy, lots of room under the carpet.
Removing the trim piece along the drivers side of the counsel was really a piece of cake. Hid the wire and ran the control head into the center counsel. Very seamless.
IT IS THE BOMB.
The throttle is instantaneous, no lag whatever.
In 4th gear of the M7 when accelerating it feels like a down shift to 3rd gear. Even 5th gear comes on like a tornado.
Best mod ever!!

I have to agree 100%! Although keeping it on high numbers all the time is a bit jumpy and can get annoying. So I typically keep mine at 3 during regular driving, and kick it up to 7-8 when I want to have some fun. Rarely kick it into 9! Insane MOD and a lot of fun!

Can you show us where you mounted the controller?

I installed mine a few months ago. It's fun and very handy - especially when I want to dial it down in wet. Running in SP mode is also fun...but in no way does it eliminate the built-in throttle lag. Given that pedal travel gets decreased dramatically in the mid to higher SP modes, it feels like the lag is shorter, only because you dump more fuel in quicker, but the lag doesn't go away. Depressing the throttle very quickly and deeply, WITHOUT a Vitesse installed gets you the exact same result.
That said, it's a cool mod and worth the time and money!
I use the lowest eco-mode possible when climbing up on my lift, or when moving into position at a service garage lift, and that alone makes it priceless!

1st picture is the wire going behind the gas pedal into the hole of the carpet.
2nd picture is of the side trim that was removed and the wire is run underneath it.
3rd picture is of the head unit in the counsel.

just ordered.... thanks for the review!

So I often notice that stock full throttle really is a long pedal travel. It's bothersome. This would resolve that?

I'll have to pull the trigger then. I'm not liking how the last 40% of throttle application requires twice as much pedal movement. Feel like I'm reaching too much with my leg/foot to get the pedal to the floor.

Ok. I ordered one. If I don't like it I'll put it in the classifieds for someone else to enjoy!

You will like it...no one buys them and DOESN'T like them. At worst case scenario, your foot will love you more! Also, in rain, you can dial it down to almost dead mode...perfect for parking and wet roads!
No, it won't eliminate the throttle lag, but because you have so much less pedal travel, when you want, it feels like the lag is gone.
