Has anyone heard that there isn't going to be a 2017 Z06??

Are these guys GM insiders or just random people? I doubt they know what they are talking about

Then that would make your 2016 Z06 worth even more.
However, since the (a) well publicized mid-engine C8 won't be officially announced until next year and (b) will not be available until 2019 at the earliest (and I personally am betting on it being later) I cannot imagine that GM/Chevy will not continue to make a C7 Z06.

Sounds like the wishful thinking of some jealous Viper guys.
There is a 2017 Z06 order guide/pricing guide (links have been provided by forum dealers) and I believe that the Chevy systems are accepting orders. Sooooo...........

With all the secrecy, and no allocations yet, I could see how someone would assume that, but the order guide has already been released.
The existence of a '17 Z06 should become clearer in the coming week(s).

I'm going to look into it. I just tried to call my buddy who is a general manager of a Chevy store. Of course he is off today. I haven't really been watching the market much because I have no desire to get a 2017 Z06 because I have a 2016. This does make me wonder why a couple guys on here said GM keeps pushing the dates for them back..

I read some pretty dumb stuff, especially on this forum and try to play nice, but this is one of the stupidest things I have read. Do people not realize it takes time to implement changes in production if those rumors of the cooling are indeed factual. The design changes, assembly line process, the qualification of the parts, sourcing parts from vendors and negotiating those contracts, kitting them, etc. A lot goes in to the entire production process and I promise a Chevrolet dealership GM will not have the inside story of what is going on. The car will be released soon and for all the right reasons for the delay.

If some believe the Z was all hype about being track ready, they could pull another fast one & rename it anything they want, like Zora for instance, pretend it's a new car, especially with a snazzy boy racer wing, & offer anyone who already ordered a good deal on an "upgrade" to the latest & greatest, like an offer Vette fans can't refuse, they'll sell so fast they won't be able to finish the new factory expansion fast enough. Why else do Grand Sports sell so well? Then the Z problems will be just a dim & distant memory ...... Oh, & I want one, real bad.

Perhaps it is not since the speculation is for a Z06X Track car instead?
See the thread on this:

The Chevy dealership I work for has our first 2017 Z06 allocation this week, I believe we are doing a Watkins Glen Gray 7M Coupe if we don't get a sold order by Monday.

I didn't think ANY allocations for Z06's were given this week
Also, to the thread starter - given they are already taking orders on them I think you can safely tell the people saying that to stop talking nonsense haha!

Pretty stupid! That is why dealers are selling 2016s for $20K off!!! They want to get rid of them before they don't have any 2017s to sell!!! I find it hard to believe that half of the USA population has an IQ less than 100.
Thanks...best laugh I've had this month!

There will be an announcement within the next week or so regarding the details of the 2017 C7Z, and orders will be accepted by GM soon.
