Default Redoing the redo. Garage Squad- Velocity Channel

My car is the Season Finally Episode 13 Season 3. It will be awesome. Will post a few photos. 515 HP, Tripower, T56, Tom's 4.11, VB&P Performance plus suspension. Dragvette 6 link, Two tone black and red interior. Side exhaust. ZIP CORVETTE was instrumental in supplying needed components. Build started Thursday. As you watch the episode remember it is TV, It is staged for the storyline. Drama and putting the creativity on the staff is what sells. Everyone has been sociable and with my career change it was going to be a while before I could do this. Filming started Thursday Aug 18. Reveal should be Wed Aug 24. It is in Joliet IL if anyone wants to show up I will post address on Tues night if all goes well and I can.

After degreaser, scotchbright pad, dawn soap and water, water rinse, dry. Before satin black paint. Nothing but the shell and frame. 16 hour shift mobilizing, 20 hour shift this day, disassembly, underbody cleaning.

View from under the car for 12 hours.

That is over-the-top from the usual Garage Squad fare for sure....

I don't understand though - are they installing the hood surround, front quarters, valence, grille, bumpers, etc.. ?? (First pic in post #4)

Seems like time would be a real factor to complete everything....

Default Garage Squad

I was wondering why you needed so much clearance under the hood. After seeing the engine, now I know why. Can't wait to see the episode. Jerry

The front end is a 1 piece tilt unit. 2 bolts and 2 cables it is installed.

Really - sorta like an E-type Jag ?
Don't think I've ever seen that - I'll definitely be tuning in

Did you meet heather storm? I don't think I would have helped the squad much except lending her my tools...

Intro is always Bruno, Heather, Joe. Heather can be a distraction.

Every car show on T.V. is a joke but I must admit, I watch Garage Squad just to drool over Heather. It could be a sewing show and I'd still watch it just for her. I know everyone's taste is different but to me, she's a 10+.

It's great you and your Corvette got picked for the show. The car will be to back together and on the road again. I think when we criticize some of these "reality shows" we need to remember they are for entertainment and not necessarily documentaries.
I hope you can post pictures of the reveal and I look forward to watching the episode.

Give me Jessi Combs....street cred out the ying-yang, cute as hell, dimples to die for and she does 'real' car work. Not just pulling the clothesline around a windshield rubber molding to make it looks like she's doing something useful (without breaking a nail)...while the genuine technician stands by to make sure she doesn't screw the pooch.

Default All Girls Garage

Frankie: Jessie and the other ladies from All Girls Garage, film here in Tampa. I know that because we use the same machine shop and I recognize the roads etc. One day we may see them at a local car show. Too bad they are as old as my daughter . Jerry
