Looking at unique C6 Z06 Any Idea what its worth?
I am looking into a unique C6 that is on ebay. I am in market for a C6 Z to track. I am having difficulty coming up with what might be a fair number to pay given the modifications. In addition to the obvious, I learned it was originally a Black car that was repainted Machine Grey. Also car fax shows 23k miles which is pretty nominal difference. Pricing out a OEM stock car is pretty easy, not sure what impact the modification have on the value of this car.
Your thoughts please

Being no roll bar, nor 5 point harness bar, and the brakes look stock, this car looks like it was just pimped up for show, and but no go to the add ons isntead.
Hence if it was prep'd for road race, would have a roll bar, harness bar, race seats and he would have listed all the updates in the suspension and brake system as well (coil over's, big brakes and such).
Also, take a good look at the rear wing, and it was mounted to the fenders that flex, not to the chassis for any real down force to the back end, so this car is screaming pimped Ricer in appearance only.
Lastly, LS7 and no mention of the sodium filled valves change to solid SS valves (so one of the sodium valves does not crack off to take out the motor), and from the start, your looking at a $1K repair to have this done if you buy the car.
Bluntly, you buy this car, it's due to the poser look of it alone, since nothing on the car has been replaced to make it a better track car isntead.

Drifting
Very clean. IMO, not worth any more than if it was stock.

So here is my deal. I started my tracking experience in a Gen 1 Viper, cool car but not really a track car. I then got a Lotus Elise, great track car but when you break it (which is often) it is impossible to get parts for. 2 seasons ago I bought a 350Z Track Ed. Turned out to be a great track car. Cheap to buy, very good with consumables and I beat this car for 25 track days each season and all I did was add a qt of oil every 3rd day. I installed roll bar, Sparco seats, 6pt, APR rear wing and front splitter, coilovers etc. This is a drivers car, if you drive it well it rewards you, if you blow a corner, there is not enough HP to bail you out. I enjoyed this car and I think it made me a much better driver. Problem is I can hang with just about anyone in corners, but when HP is difference, I get smoked. Tired of doing point byes so time to make a change. I ride right seat in a lot cars as instructor and I can not think of a faster car under $50k than a Z06. I have decided that my next car will be a C6 Z. I was thinking getting a mid miles Z and trying to stay close to $30k. I was thinking this one might fit the bill if I could get it right. I try and not get killed on the cars when I move on so you have to buy them right. I think this car has a pretty limited market so I could see sitting on it for a long time if I am into it too heavy.
With that said what's it worth??

The picture of the odometer shows 19,000 miles but the Carfax type report shows that it had 23,000 miles on it in 2014....
Without the wing, I think it would look OK...I'm not that unhappy with the paint scheme. But how does it have 4,000 fewer miles than it had two years ago? And that was mileage reported by the DMV, so it is likely correct.

As for the valve guides, it seems to me that is a $2000 bill done right.
I would suggest a post in the C6Z06 forum and see what responses you get.

Did you use R-Comps on your 350Z?
The Z-06 brake calipers are not that great for track days using R-comps where there is so much more traction available. You'd have to do a BBK upgrade to get the most out of them, though there are folks that have been able to get by without.

Plus, as OP stated, the car was originally black (still has black door jambs ) and was painted half and half. Or, perhaps it was wrapped.

Wow I missed the fact that the jambs were not painted. Thanks for catching that. Hopefully I misunderstood the seller and the car is black with Silver and White wrap on it. I am having serious reservations about this car. Appreciate everyones input

As for the car, do not see any upgrades to the car that actual make it better track-able, and in fact with the Ricer show only mods done to play dress up with the car to make it just "flash only" like a cheap knock off rolex, PITA to clean up the damage to the car when adding actual performance upgrades to it instead (tearing off the parts that do did not add any performance to the car instead.
