You need to buy an offroad X pipe with some long tube headers. That will really make that SLP resonate to hell and be loud.

What about just the x pipe since headers are illegalin California and wont pass smog? Or what about xpipe n straight pipes and i also heard about catting the cats Whats that or can i just remove the cats

If your car went through the recall (since you're also in cali) you should have 4 cats on your car. 2 from the headers and then 2 in the mid pipe.

I'm currently running a straight pipe from the headers back (also a base C6) and it's really not that loud. If you get on it and push it, it opens up but you can cruise like this and make very little noise. The only way I can make this car louder is by getting headers but that's just going to cause a ton of problems when it comes to smogging and renewing registration.

So.. unless you have someone that's down to hook you up when it comes to smog and you don't have to worry about that, go with what the previous dude stated, offroad xpipe with headers.

I would f****** move out of that place. How can you stand the stupid. You are without a doubt doomed to have a quiet car out there.

What did you do with the SLP's when you took them off? Still have them?

Remove the slp mufflers and buy pipes from pep boys, cut them the same length, install pipes and see what you think. Should cost you $25 or so it what I did.

If you're interested I can get you a sound clip of mine which just has the 2 cats in it from the headers and a straight pipe from there. Like I said before, it's not that loud unless you get on it.

I currently have ARH X-pipe and hi-flow cats. I did the muffler mod and it helped, but I was thinking of doing away with the mufflers and just install a pipe in place of them. How is the drone?

Since I also live in CA, here is what I did: Installed C6Z manifolds, cats and h-pipe and had a muffler shop weld the back of the stock 2.5" H-pipe to the C6Z 3" H-pipe with reducers (even the C6Z exhaust reduces to 2.5" at the mufflers). I have a Corsa Sport exhaust on it and now I feel it is too loud at WOT. With the C6Z you get the long tube power and sound and have a high likelyhood of passing smog as it looks stock.

It's there but i wouldn't say it's that bad. But then again my previous car had no cats or anything from the headers back so maybe I'm just used to it.
