Default Hill Assist

After owning this car for a few days, I have put over 1500 miles on it (trip to TN).

i'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to this:

Is there some location where the car displays that the hill assist is activated?

On my 2014 Camaro, "hill assist" would light up in the center area near the steering wheel. I have not seen something similar on the vette. Is there some screen where this would show up?

I can feel if the hill assist is on, but I remember with the Camaro, that the hill assist would not always come on, and if this is the case with the vette, I would at least like to know. It hasn't been a problem since I can feel if the hill assist is engaged, but I would like to know in advance.

Thanks! (M7)

No display telling you hill assist is engaged.

I wish that it displayed, but oh well. Thanks for letting me know. I'm looking at the manual again to see if I missed it. I didn't see it mentioned either way (about letting you know if it's activated). Thanks!

It would cost GM a lot of money to program the hill assist indicating that it is engaged. Maybe the 2017's will have it?

You're right it would cost GM. Probably 4 or 5 cents.

Yeah. Look at all the mechanical crap that had to be added just to support the electric doors.

They had it in 2014 for the Camaros, so I can't imagine it being hard if they even had a light or something that would light up on the driver information system. I'm not sure if the 2017 models changed anything with it. I actually wonder what changes there are if any on the 2017's!

Sometimes hill assist does not automatically engage on a slight grade (2014). It always engages when I let the car drift back a few inches and reapply the brake, even on a slight grade.

Nothing to add other this... I don't like hill assist. Havent killed a car on a steep hill in years until hill assist. Totally throws off my rhythm when I take off on a hill. Have to exaggerate my take off to overcome the feature. Lame.
