I looked up when my vette was built Sept 29 1966. Just curious when the very first 67 vette was built. Ian

Was Monday holidays in effect back then? If not, September 1 would have been a holiday (Labor Day). September 2 would be the first day of production.

EDIT

The Uniform Monday Holiday Act (Pub.L. 90–363) is an Act of Congress that amended the federal holiday provisions of the United States Code to establish the observance of certain holidays on Mondays. The Act was signed into law on June 28, 1968 and took effect on January 1, 1971.

Also, start of '67 production was Sep 1, 1966, which was a Thursday. Looking at a 1966 calendar, Labor Day was celebrated Monday September 5th.

So when did we start with Labor Day on Monday, regardless of date? My '60 was number 56 off the line; I wonder if it could be a first or second day production (September 2 or 3, 1959).
