First time experience
First time in 20 years of Vette ownership I got caught in the rain today with the top off. Was zinging along the highway when I noticed the spray in the distance, I managed to take an exit and get the top on but not before getting me and the car wet
Notes:
The new top is MUCH lighter than the old ones (c3-c5-c6) easy off/on
Bing lies about temperature, 85 == 95
Bing also lies about rain chances (I checked before leaving the office)
Mythbusters are right, with the top off at speed you don't get wet, stop/slowdown, you get wet.
No harm done, and first drive with the top off the new Vette!

That my friend is why I purchased a convertible. I too got caught in a down pour with my C6 coupe, the wind was to strong to get the top on. Finally pulled into a car wash to get out of the wind. I love the totally power top of my C7.

Good that you were able to quickly put the top back on. Been caught in situations like that myself.

Microsoft!?? Sheesh!
Got caught in a flash summer thunderstorm in a Porsche 911 Targa.
First, that theory that the rain will just "blow over" the top is wrong... actually, it creates a vacuum that sucks the rain into the car... the faster I drove, the wetter I got.
Plus, I couldn't find an overpass to park under, and put on the roof... I had an 18 wheel truck on my *** with zero visibility...
Recommendation... if it looks like rain, put the top on.

I always knew that Porsche drivers were all wet.
I have driven my car in the rain with the top off and very little water got in..
