Highest mileage
Thought it might be interesting to see how many miles people are putting on their Vettes.
We've had a lot of deaths in our family this year and I've decided I'm not going to let the pleasure of driving my car pass with each day. I'm driving it almost daily this summer. I'll have to garage it for most of the winter, but it will be on the road weather permitting.
My '11 has 8,200. I'm just getting started. What's the mileage on your Vette?

Keith, I commend you on seeing the light as it were.
When I first bought my C6, this site seemed to indicate that it was a bad thing to put miles on the C6, resale value, etc etc. I actually bought into that until I too decided I wanted to enjoy the car, not have it sitting either in a garage or only drive it to car shows.
Although I had the engine bay detailed, I decided to never show the car, so therefore It didn't need to be pristine underneath, could have some dirt under the rocker panels, or wheel wells, etc etc. I do dust off the engine bay to keep it clean, although I'm the only one who gets to see it.
My wife and I have used the C6 on each and every running season road trip since 2010. The C6 is a great touring machine,. lot's of room for suitcases, and very comfy on long drives.
We have done 3 week 5,000 miles road trips, many 1-3K mile road trips, and shorter 500-1K mile road trips. In fact, we just got back from a short 700 mile trip over this past weekend to PEI and Nova Scotia.
I'm so glad that I get to enjoy this car each and every day.
I know that others like to keep the miles off, and only drive it occasionally, and that's OK. It's what they want to do.
BTW, It just turned 83,000 miles. We've put 71K miles since 2010, only driving it roughy 7 months a year due to out long winters.

when I first bought my C6 it was a garage queen. But then I too realize that time is flying by and I was not getting any younger. I sold my daily driver and now I am using my C6 as a daily driver. I have to drive 115 miles a day round trip to go to work. I don't regret it at all. The car is to used. I keep it as cleaned and pristine as possible but I am using it. Why pay for something and let someone else enjoy it. LIVE AND DRIVE IT !!!
BTW, I have put over 9k this year so far with a total of 18,800 miles so far.

Bought mine new in '06 to drive it and, especially since my battle with cancer, glad I did; many very memorable trips across this Nation with my wife before and since. Currently have a little over 90K and counting ... have many more trips planned and looking forward to seeing 200+K down the road

2005 with 90k and dyno last week showed no power loss over the years. It is my DD. I had an 03 Z06 a few years ago with 57k and never drove it for fear of putting miles on it. I sold it because I didn't drive it and I will always miss that car. Promised to not make the same mistake again.
Welker1, stay strong bud! And enjoy that Vette!

Currently a little over 138K on the '08 and expecting many more miles and smiles.
Keep rolling my friend and we'll wave as we meet or pass each other somewhere.

Keep living life to it's fullest and building up those miles; given that you live in Phoenix and we travel through there often, I'm sure well cross paths at some point

The next time I drive my 06 it will turn over 88K. I've had it for three years and have put 35K on it as it was my only car. Since I've had my 06 STSV for a month I haven't driven it much. Over the next couple months after driving them both on trips up the coast and over the Sierras I may decide to sell one of them, keeping the one I prefer. They have almost identical mileage and are pretty much in identical condition.

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
Back in 2004 I bought a 2000 C5 as a weekend toy. It had 21,000 miles on it. I traded it for a 2005 C6 when it had 41,000 miles. I was given more for it than I had paid for it.
Long story short I ended up with my 07 AW coupe and my DDD pickup. It was not very long that I found it hard to walk past the 07 and go get in the pickup. Soon the pickup had not been used as a DD for 6 months so it was sold.
My 07 has been my DD since then. I now have 175,150 miles on it. I still enjoy it as much as when I bought it. It has been a great car and I look forward to the next 150,000.

I have just under 148k on my '05 and now that I am retired, I will easily hit 150k this year since I am also moving to NC where the driving season is a wee bit longer than in Northern Virginia.
I haven't dyno'd mine since I replaced the clutch at 114k when I went back to stock 3.42 gears after having 4.10's for over 77k miles; the numbers after the swap were 349rwhp and 364rwtq...
I'm gonna drive this car until the fenders rust off...
