Thanks for sharing. There is A LOT going on in that front end! You can see through a portion of it on the top photo. Looks almost Hurracan lines under there on that nose. I'm sure they'll also have the pressure relieving vents on top of the wheel fenders as it's the cool thing to do these days. Very exciting. I won't be getting one of these but my front needs a reliant anyway and if this baby looks good and improves cooling....
Thanks!

What ever is going on, it must be a pretty big deal, as they seem to have a bunch of different cars running around.
To be able to legally drive those cars on the street, they have to meet all laws including the amber side markers at the front o the car(and the red side markers at the rear of the car).
If you notice, the front side markers are covered by the camo(or not there, as the front bumper does not flow into the front fenders) so I believe the amber "patches" on the top/side of the front fenders are temporary side markers to be able to run the car on public roads(vs a private track)

Burning Brakes
GM just toying with the public...Drumming up speculation and interest. Hopefully it's something cool...
This is likely no different than when Kim Kardasian calls the papparazzi and tells them where she's gonna be...before she's there...magically they get pictures. Cause these pics are way too close to be this crappy, lol. Either way, should be exciting...maybe a Z06 track attack car...Not so sure it's a ZR1 yet...JMHO. We'll see...

Wonder if these guys talk about anything regarding the car when they go in those restaurants. Or a casual what's that you got there bud? Might suffice

Burning Brakes
The lack of uprights on the one car makes me wonder if we aren't looking at two slightly different models.
ZR1 and L88, Z06X, etc
The rear spoilers are different, and the front aero seems to be different in the two pictures as well. One is more vertical, the other clearly has a pronounced angle in the camo due to a splitter. Though the car without the wing has the more aggressive front end, so that doesn't make as much sense.

My gut is that this is a C7 ZR1:
1. GM has shown no desire in the past to make a track-only car. They let enthusiasts buy their street cars and do that.
2. The mules have a new unique wheel. Why do a new wheel if it's a test bed for a C8 motor? Also, the mules have C6ZR1 blue brakes... that's a clue as none of the other C7s offer brakes in that color.
3. Current chatter is the pending GM "supercar" or Zora will start life as a Caddy halo car with a 4.2 liter TT DOHC V8 called LT-5.
So... overall I think this is a special send-off for the last front-engined Vette, a special halo car is coming, which will then trickle down to a mid-engine base C8 in 2020.

Or, how about a spy shot of the 2009 ZR1.
Did either of those two wheel designs make it on a production ZR1?
Do you know the difference between different wheel designs.....20 lug nuts........
Do you know the difference between different colored calipers.... a can of spray paint........
