Hands down this is the only way to go -
With canned tunes and mail order tunes there is no way to check and see all the necessary perimeters to make the most RWHP and RWTQ, fuel trims, timing, and a host of other tables etc.
It will generally run around $450-$550 for a complete tune and usually around $100-$150 for re-tunes from your tuner - when you do upgrades -
Thanks,Matt

Agreed , not enough to of a gain for how much money you are going to spend on a stock car, complete waste of money
Go the route Unreal suggests , buy a Diablo, load the Diablo tune and TCM tune , then log it and send the files to Diablo Lew ... total cost is just short of a Dyno tune but you now have the ability to modify many parameters .....Data Log your car , read and reset trouble codes
Lew does a great job on both the ECM and TCM tunes , then you can keep logging the car and send it to him to fine tune
Plus , you can restore your OEM tunes if the need arises ...
If you don't like it you can always sell the Diablo , try to do that with a Dyno Tune

Only thing I would change is get HP tuners instead of diablo, and then use someone like Doug@ECS, Frost, etc to do a mail order tune.

Do you also need to buy licenses ?
I assume you use a laptop , does it come with the OBD interface ?
I always heard its much better but I never looked into it
Thanks

Depends on version. Plenty of used ones out there too with credits, other wise it is $100 a car to tune a car if it doesn't have any credits left.
New comes with enough credits for 4 cars.
Yes needs a computer, and yes it comes with interface.
