Default New '67 owner saying hello

Just saying hello and a brief story
10-7-16 will be my 10th wedding anniversary and I was thinking what could we do to make it a memorable one?
I know honey.....lets buy a Big Block 1967 Corvette Convertible fly across county from CA to Charlotte to pick it up drive it to Nashville and go to Kid Rocks back yard BBQ Fish Fry concert.........she says sure why not!
SO.....2 long weeks from now our adventure begins!

Welcome to the CF! Great looking BB. I think I saw it at RK Mortors. You are going to have a very interesting drive back home. Document the adventure and post it with pics. Dennis

Welcome to the CF...

That's gonna be a trip home...

Take lots of towels in case you get caught in some rain storms...

Thanks for the tips but I am having it shipped back to CA unfortunately i can not take the time to drive it back....but here on the central coast of CA it will be seeing plenty of driving!

ps... it was originally a CA car from Connell Chevrolet in Costa Mesa about 250 miles from where I live....wonder if its ever been up here on the 101?

Welcome and congratulations on your anniversary and new Corvette! That is going to be a great trip. Since you'll be in Nashville, you're not far from the Corvette plant and museum in Bowling Green. Keep us informed with pictures. Hopefully no breakdowns but I'm not too far BG and Nashville if you have trouble.

Buying a '67 to drive it like that makes you one of my heros! I hope it turns out great. When I buy a used car I need a back up plan even if it's only 30 miles from home but I usually buy pretty crappy old cars.

Default Thanks!

Yes I got the car from RK Motors
Good advice for the towels however the car is being trailered back to CA
Great tip on Bowling Green looks only about 70 mi from Nashville
Yep I too have a history of buying crappy cars and going on road trips
a little over 10 years ago my "girlfriend" and I bought a crappy old VW Syncro camper in Denver and road tripped back to CA breaking down about every 50 -100 miles she was so cool about the whole thing never complaining or bitching....one of the reasons were together today!
ps.. looks like the car was originally from Connell Chevrolet to here in CA about 250 miles from me...what are the chances this car made a trip up here on the 101

Congrats - sounds like both the wife and the car are keepers! Best year and best color too, BTW!

Congrats on the 67. The drive on 101 should be great! I hope your wife does not find out about your present girlfriend from your CO trip Jerry

I take back my comment, I can now see the picture and your description of your bride makes this sound like a great adventure.
