1999 Corvette Race Car & Trailer For Sale
Hey Gang!
After some significant soul searching, I've decided to put my 1999 FRC race car up for sale. I live in an apartment in downtown Vancouver and store the car on the trailer near the track, 1.5 hrs away. The logistics behind my lack of personal storage and a garage where I can easily work on it has led me to this decision.
It's had nearly every IP (CACC class, similar to SCCA IT) legal upgrade save exhaust & tune, and has been a great car for me - but the engine needs to be rebuilt. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the space and time to drop a new engine in it.
If you're familiar with the track, my best time at Mission BC is 1:15.081, but that is far from the extent of the cars potential. It's been fast enough to qualify 3rd in a mixed run group, and I've finished 2nd overall several times (and led for more than half a race once - I blame the driver for not winning).
I'm asking $11.5k US for the car with all spares and Hoosier A7s & H20s on Z06 rims, or $13k US for the package and the trailer. The trailer is a 2014 TNT 18' dovetail flat deck with very low miles.
Logbooks for Time Attack and Race, 2016 annual Tech completed.
The car was my daily driver before I started using it for Time Attack for a couple years before converting it to a dedicated track car. Here's what it's had done to it along the way:
Safety equipment:
- 8 pt custom fabricated roll cage 0.120" DOM designed to meet CACC, SCCA, and NASA specs.
- Electrical kill switch wired to main junction box
- Lifeline fire suppression system

- OMP steering wheel & Grant quick release
- OMP FIA seat with back brace to roll cage
- 6 pt FIA harness (2019)
- window net (2016)
Build thread -> LINK
Brakes & Suspension:
- DRM brake cooler ducts
- Quantum MS brake cooler backing plates & heat shields
- high temp flexible ducting
- Performance Friction ZR31 callipers & 2 piece rotors front & back
- stainless steel flex lines (DOT 4 fluid)
- Delrin control arm bushings front & back
- new lower ball joints & tie rod ends front & back
- Cool Tape on all joint boots
- SKF hubs with ARP studs
- Phadt caster & camber kits front & back
- GM Racing T1 springs, shocks, and sway bars
- Power Grid adjustable sway bar end links
- Delrin spring adjusters front & back
- Race alignment by Krangle Automotive
Build thread -> LINK
Steering:
- Delrin steering rack bushing
- Turn 1 rebuilt p/s steering rack (2016)
- Turn 1 new race spec p/s pump & pulley (2016)
- factory GM external p/s fluid cooler (Redline synthetic)
Engine:
- remote oil pressure sender
- Setrab external oil cooler
- Elite Engineering oil catch can
- DeWitts aluminum radiator
- Spal 15" electric fan, wired & programmed for high speed at lower temp threshold
- Callaway Honker cold air intake
- Fluidampr 6% underdrive harmonic damper
Driveline:
- new flywheel, pressure plate & clutch installed prior to conversion to track car
- new slave cylinder with Tick Performance speed bleeder routed to engine compartment
- Tilton clutch master cylinder (DOT 4)
- rebuilt torque tube (new bearings & couplers)
- transmission refreshed (tear down & inspection, new synchros)
- B&M short throw shifter
- Hardbar delrin shifter ****
- factory LSD with 3.42 gearing
Wheels & Tires:
- two sets of 18" x 10.5" C5 Z06 rims
- Hoosier 315/30ZR18 A7s, new this spring with 3 races on them (mounted)
- Hoosier P305/30R18 H2Os, new this spring with one qualifying session on them (mounted)
- Hoosier A6 scrubs
- Yokohama Advan A048 scrubs
General Race Prep:
- hard wired transponder
- tow straps
- SRS removed
- a/c compressor removed
- ABS/traction control module/pump removed
- DEPO projector headlamps (pop-ups removed)
- billet aluminum block finish race pedals
Spares:
- calliper rebuild kits & new bleeder hardware, front & back (Performance Friction)
- new set of brake pads, front & back (Performance Friction)
- used rear rotors (came with callipers, Performance Friction)
- additional brake pads (came with callipers, Performance Friction)
- Z51 springs, shocks, and sway bars (OEM)
- new poly bushings for Z51 sway bars
- high temp flexible brake ducting
Needless to say, I've got a lot of time and money invested in it to get it this far. With a fresh engine, headers/exhaust and a race tune it will be quite a formidable package.
I'm in Vancouver, BC - and could transport the car into the US a ways for the cost of expenses, if a solid deal is in place.

Canada doesn't use 'pink slip' titles, but there is a Provincial registration document that goes with the standard transfer of ownership form with a vehicle sale. I would also prepare a bill of sale to accompany these.
The car wouldn't be registered for street use in the US, so the standard importing process wouldn't apply. I would recommend calling the border crossing you intend to use and see what paperwork they would be looking for.
