Ethanol percentage display?
I thought I saw a thread a few months back showing a way to have the Ethanol content display on our dash or something? I know there is a tool you can plug into the ODB2 but I don't care for all the other stuff like wideband, knock, etc. I just want to be able to see how much ethanol I am running.
Is there a way of doing this without having to pay ~300 or have an external display?
Thanks guys

Just buy from a vendor that does not add Ethanol to their Premium,
Shell, Costco, Esso and a few others...
Of course, just because the "say" they don't, how would you truly know... so i guess a little do-hickey in the dash would be interesting to confirm what should be the case... any company diluting their premium fuels with Ethanol should be fined a 100 Billion dollars!

The options I found are either an odb2 scanner for your phone or the more expensive options. Try Torque if you have an Android phone. Not familiar with the iOS equivalent.

A while back Dave Steck came out with a cool, simple little display for the E%. I think they were about $100ish? Not saying they arent worth $100 but there are a few options out there for about $250ish that will do much more. I opted to buy the Dash Command to show me the E%

I don't know where you live, but those stations are few and far between, nowadays in most places.
In my neck of the woods, you have to go to a marina to get ethanol-free fuel. There literally are no car gas stations which carry it.

In our market, you HAVE to buy gasoline that is laced with ten percent ethanol (E10). The only places that are allowed to sell it are marinas (for boat usage) and airports (aviation fuel - illegal to use in your car because it has lead in it).
One station around me sells racing gasoline - but I don't know if it has ethanol in it or not.

The poster who suggested this claims Canada as home, where ethanol-free fuel is more widely available.

Luckily here in Wisconsin it is no problem finding ethanol free gas. The only time I'm forced to buy that corn blended **** is when I travel through illinois on my way to Alabama. I do a splash and go with a couple of gallons, then a full refill in Paducah KY with real gas.

In Canada you can use all that oil we are not yet transporting by pipeline to the only place refineries are viable, the Gulf Coast! Warren Buffet's owned railroads can't transport as much as a pipeline and the cost it 3 or 4 times more! The enviormental risk is even higher! (I was in Quebec when that runaway oil train backed into a town center and destroyed the small town!) Follow the money!
Don't understand the comments about flex fuel?! The C7 can not use more than 10% unless it's modified.

Esso is what Exxon used to be called back in the day. We may have Exxon stations here in the USA, but I am pretty sure you can still find ESSO in other countries.
I remember when the "Amoco" logo (with the torch) was labeled as "STANDARD" in some western states. Confusing..................but then people on the West Coast refer to Hardee's as Carl's Jr.

You can buy a conversion kit for the c7 to run flex fuel.
