Default Satin Black wheels w/red stripe

My S G Z06 coupe has the base nickel pearl wheels w/red calipers. Would the OE satin black wheels with the red stripe enhance the look of the car ? S/o is not a car peep so asking her is out of the question ............

Definitely a matter of personal preference. You just opened Pandora's box!

I think they would look great. Even better would be the Spectra Grey wheels.

Before you go out and buy new wheels, look into getting them painted or powder coated.

That is the conundrum. I have a lead on both sets of wheels. Bigger question though, is the $800 offered for my base wheels a good price ?

Satin black wheels will always look dirty. They will do nothing positive for the looks of your car. IMHO.

I just changed out my Chrome wheel with a new set of Satin Black with a red stripe. I have a LBMR Z51. I love the look.

Default Black w/red stripe

Well, they are on the car. They really pop. The red ring around the circumference highlights the red calipers.

I really think this is the way to go with black wheels. That colored ring provides a nice contrast and as you know makes what can be a plain look "pop".

For whatever reason, the black wheels seem to highlight the brake rotors and red calipers. The Nickel Pearl wheels so overpowered the them and they were lost in the background. The color contrast to the Shark Gray is exactly what I was seeking. I am a happy camper. Now all I need is my side skirts from Weapon X ............. Oh Ben ............ WTF are they ?

Go with Gloss Black, Get them powder coated.
They will hold up better to scratches and chips.

Looks great! Much better than plain black or plain anything.

Might as well get a white or vanilla car with vanilla wheels.
