just pulled the trigger.....
on a 90 zr1. double black with 26k miles
long story short.... as virtually every other car has doubled + in value and are now "collectible" ....
these things have to be the best bang for the buck

i kicked the tires forever on a callaway but i could never find my ideal car. they were either modified, miles or asking what i thought was crazy money.
everytime i buy a black car i say ill never buy another but this was a deal so i said WTF.
once it gets here, i plan on changing all the fluids. SS brake lines. new tires unless the date codes are reasonable.

1G1YZ while others start with 1G1YY
And there is a J which indicates the LT5 engine
The ZR-1 years have letters L, M, N, P, R, S that indicate the MY (model years) '90, '91, '92, 93, '94, 95 consecutively.
The last four digits of the VIN are production numbers for each year, not the entire run.
From memory I believe there were 6939 production ZR-1's built, but there is some confusion on how many were sold in 1990

Safety Car
Congrats !! They definitely cant get any cheaper in my opinion. Theyre at a point where many are beginning to fall apart and get to that 'not saveable' condition that doesn't require a total restoration. Clean lower mile cars for this cheap are unreal if you ask me ! just wish I had more money I would buy several !

hopefully be here by friday.....
as a side note, remember that when your buying a car from the west coast shipping eats up a chunk into the deal i thought i was getting.
used NCM for insurance. seemed like decent rates.
