Default Need Some Help from the Mechanics

Weather permitting every weekend I drive my C5 as my DD. Last night I got her out again and went a different way, up a steep incline in the first 5 minutes. I heard three different times going up the incline, almost a grinding sound. My wife even commented what's that noise.

Coasting down the other side of the mountain, nothing. Later I went a different way over the mountain home. And up another steep hill. The sound did not return.

What do you think?

45,000 miles, rear, volume did not change but was on the throttle. And the best part is, drove it 70 miles today without the strange noise, once.

Just call it a weird experience. maybe I'll go up the mountain tomorrow or

Definitely check the levels in the trans and dif!

My 2001 Z06 made a grinding noise that was cured by renewing the differential lube.

Good luck.

Those two things would be a good start. Hopefully it is not something that will end up being expensive to repair.
