New-ish
Hey there! I joined in 11 and was looking at possibly getting an older Vette, but that was put on hold. Now I'm in a better position to start thinking about it again, so I thought I'd come here with my dilemma and get some feedback.
I know this is a Vette forum, so it may be biased, but maybe others have had a similar toss up.
So I've been planning to get a new truck for awhile since even before I sold my K10 recently because I wanted something bigger and newer. So I decided since I need a crew cab and really want an 8' bed I'd get a 3500 with a diesel. I was looking at 2016s, but I'm waiting to see what's new for 17. I'd probably want to buy lightly used to knock a couple thousand off, but who knows what deals may run.
On the flip side...the little kid in me wants a stick shift toy. I've been looking at C6 Z06s and I could get one pretty affordably. I may even be able to get a brand new Camaro SS for not much more, but I'd prefer the Vette.
My 2012 Impala is perfect for work which is why I'd keep it along with whatever other vehicles I procure. The Impala has 300HP and I got it tuned, but it's still a FWD sedan, so it's fun, but not weekend fun. lol
So....what would you do? Without going into too much life detail, I'll need the truck for work at some point relatively soon and never really "need" a fun car. Ideally I'd have both along with my Impala, but I'm not at that point in my life yet financially.

Just remember there is a section of the forum for other vehicles. So there are folks you can talk to about a truck.

Thanks, not really looking to talk about which truck to buy because I've already decided exactly what I would. I'm more curious which people would buy first.

Welcome back to the forums!
You really need the vehicle which has higher priority for your immediate future needs
Toys can be added later when more financially set and ready............... just my opinion
