Just installed curb alert on my 2016. It works great at curbs but goes off when other cars oncoming .Asked dealer says he never heard of this I keep recalculating it per his instructions, but no help. It is installed correctly and set for 4 inch curb height which does work Please help before I return unit. Also if I press ang buttons such as check gas etc,it beats. I am putting this on this site because I also own a 2017 gs, and youguys usually know answers to other late years.

It it set too high. Point it down a bit more. Did you calibrate it EXACTLY per the authorized curb alert video? For both distance and height?

Further, it should be go directly to the outside fuse positive post of the front box and the alternator ground. Nothing should be "beating" .....who did this install?

I gave up on mine. It was a PITA. switched over to a camera and WiFi with my spare smart phone. Get in start the phone and when having to park head in look at the phone screen.
So far works like a champ

I gave up on the Curb Alert also. Garbage. Would not help at all if you approached something at an angle. Finally the thing broke. I installed a camera.

You have a 16 which has a camera? Use that. Far superior.

Wow, I'm surprised, Ive had one on my last 3 cars and they all worked fine for years....still using mine every day on my Camaro.....

Electronic curb alerts....ridiculous.

I just use my rims to let me know if I'm too close.

Got rid of mine. Too many situations where it would not work and it would chirp on its own for unknown reasons. Installed a NavTool and never looked back.

Do you own a 2016 & 2017 1LT?? If 2 or 3LT, comes with front camera's.

Unfortunately curb alert is unreliable, I had in on my C6. Front camera is a must, If you getting a camera with navtool the mirroring is a nice bonus.
